Chapter 1 (After The Staff of Serapis: Egyptian Side)

Carter's POV

I was happily reading a book when Sadie started yelling my name from the portal on the roof. She had just gotten back from tracking down that statue that turned into a dog I guess, and she didn't seem to be exactly happy with me.

When I got on the roof she screamed, "WHY IN HELL DID YOU NOT TELL ME THAT WHEN YOU FOUGHT THE SON OF SOBEK YOU WEREN'T ALONE?" Uh oh. I'm dead.

"Well I didn't think it was the right time. And how did you find out in the first place?" I changed the subject off of me.

"Smooth subject change Carter. And that boy Percy's girlfriend? Yeah. I MET HER! She helped me with the dog thing! And she told me some things that you might want to know! And for you not tell me about Percy when it happened. I am NOT going to tell you!" She walked past me sticking her nose in the air stubbornly.

Ugh I hate how she knows how to get me to beg.

"FINE! I am sorry! And you were..... right." I muttered.

Sadie stopped in her tracks.

"Say that last part ONE more time." She smirked.

"Aw come on! Don't tell me your going to make me say it aga-"

"Then I guess you don't want to hear it as bad as I thought you would." Sadie turned and kept walking.

"FINE! YOU WERE RIGHT!" I had to know!

"Good. You know you didn't have to say it right? I was going to tell you anyway. I just really wanted to here you say that." She laughed.

OH! I am SO gonna kill her. I will claim my revenge later. I glared at her.

"It's chilly up here." Said rubbed her arms ignoring my glare. "I'll tell you in the living room. Come on."

Without another word, we went down into he living room. The statue of Thoth stared down at me. It still kreeps me out to this day! We sat on the couch and Sadie started.

"Ok you know like all the Greek Myths?" I nodded. "Well apparently they are all real just like Egypt Myths! Cool ha?"

"Yeah. By the way... I told you I wasn't seeing things when I saw that flying winged horse over Manhattan!" I noticed.

"True. Hey do you know where Wa-" She was cut off by the sound of a thousand lions roaring.
