"Look, I said I was sorry," Ron said, nursing an ice-pack against his swollen eye.

Ginny clocked him in the eye when he came into her room again. Ron insisted that it was important, Ginny didn't think it was important enough to warrant him coming in unannounced. Again.

"You can take your apologies and shove them up your-"

"Ginny!"

"Sorry, Mum."

Mrs Weasley cast a critical eye over Ron. "Ron, why were you in Ginny's room anyway?"

"Oh," Ron fumbled for something in his pocket. "Errol and Pig came in and dropped these off."

Ron slid over a thick envelope, sealed with the Hogwarts crest in red wax.

I tore it out of his hands quickly and scanned the letter.

"Blimey, how'd you learn to punch so hard?" Ron whined as Mrs Weasley removed the ice pack to inspect his eye.

Ginny shrugged. "Charlie."

"I'm going to be having words with that boy." Mrs Weasley tutted, flicking her wand. Instantly, the swelling around Ron's eye went down to its normal size.

Ron sighed in relief. "Thanks, Mum."

"Next time, knock on your sister's door."

"Mum!" Ron complained, quickly shutting up when he saw her face. "Yes ma'am."

Ginny poked her tongue out at him childishly.

Mrs Weasley turned to Ginny, who melted her face into a mask of innocence. "And no more punching Ronald."

"But Mum-"

"No ifs, ands or buts. You're lucky I don't ground the lot of you!"

With that, she swept out of the dining room and into the kitchen

As soon as she had left, Ron and Ginny started to go at each other again. Albeit, a lot quieter than before.

I shook my head at their antics and flipped the page over, reading the equipment list. As I scanned it, a third page slipped out and fluttered to the floor. I bent over and picked it up, the other two pages forgotten. The page was flipped over and I began to read.

Students,

On behalf of the staff of Hogwarts, I am pleased to announce that this year Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will be housing students from Lady Hecate's School of Magic located in America. We are doing an exchange program with Lady Hecate's and we expect you to show the exchange students the same respect and courtesy you would show your peers.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

I re-read the letter to make sure I wasn't imagining it.

"Oi, Harry? You still with us?" Ron asked as he snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"Hmm? Yeah. I'm listening."

Ron looked at me weirdly. "You right?"

"Just a little shocked."

"Why? What's so shocking about this letter?"

Ginny eased it out of my hands and quickly read it. I watched as her eyes widened comically and she shoved the parchment into Ron's face.

"Bloody hell Ginny!" He exclaimed as he snatched the parchment out of her hands. "What-"

He read the page quickly, mouth slowly falling open.

"You're joking!"

"When have you ever know Professor McGonagall to joke about anything?" I retorted.

Ron chuckled. "Blimey, Hermione's going to flip her lid when she hears about this."

I glanced over at Ginny and we shared a knowing look.

"Looks like you're not getting the quiet year you wanted." Ginny smiled, she laced her fingers through mine.

I returned her smile."Really, would you want it any other way?"

She shook her head and rested her head on my shoulder.

"No."

Ron gagged from across the other side of the table.

"Gross, keep your PDA to a minimum."

I grabbed Ginny's wrist before she could throw her glass at him.

"NO!"

Ginny huffed. "Fine, just because mum'll kill me if there's glass all over the floor."

"Wow, thanks so much, sis."
