The Poet

A poet's thoughts flow into their writing.
The pen bleeds ink to form their words.
All of a poet's speculations can be overwhelming.
Their thoughts very rarely used as swords.

Sometimes their words are turned into song,
Creating powerful verses with music.
There are many poems, some sort some long.
Some if the things a poet says shows them as a lunatic.

A poem can give you many strong emotions,
An abundance of them you can't even describe.
Because of a poems intricacy it leaves indentions,
Letting you use the words on something you inscribe.

When a poet writes they only have one goal,
To get their thoughts onto a piece of paper.
They don't always want recognition in whole,
But this poet wants her words more than a whisper.
