Shadow Riddle: A Harry Potter Fan Fic

Dads Wish

I sit on a log in the dark forest. Dad said to meet him here, but he is late. The forest is cold and the wind howls through my hair. I here a rustle and turn around. Black smoke swirls around in three different places. Dad, Bellatrix and Lucius. "I'm sorry I was late. We had to do....something" he grins the deathly grin which could make grown men cry. "What did you want" I stand up. My black dress flaps on my legs making it hard to walk. "Draco is being given a.....job. I need you to make sure that he does it." His face is serious. "He will tell you what the job is next year, but keep a close eye on him. I need you, my little horcrux, to be safe. I can't let my soul die" with that dad kisses my forehead and leaves "Really, no I miss you? Just here's a job get on with it" I yell into the night sky. The air is crisp. I head up to the slitheryn head quaters, as quitely as possible. I forgot one thing, Draco's daily Potter dissing in the common room.

"Where were you?" He asks as I walk through the door.
"No where" I lie. Draco stops me and kisses me "you can trust me you know" he whispers. I shake my head and walk up stairs "but you can't trust me" I say, leaning on the common room door. With that I turn around and go to bed. I don't want to hurt Draco. Or drag him into any of this.

I wake up with a wet face. I must have cried in my sleep. Carmen and Sophie sit on my bed. They have chocolate and tissues. "You okay?" Carmen asks eating a chocolate. "Yeah just, parent stuff" I say taking a snake sherbet. "Do you think what Potter says is true?" Sophie asks, leaning on my bed posts "yes. Yes I do. I think dad has the power to return whenever he likes." I then look up "do not tell Draco I just said that" they both nod. "Wait, don't we have lessons?" Sophie asks "no Professor Umbridge is having a secret meet hunt. Everyone has the day off" Carmen smiles. "Want to go to the stones?" I ask, needing to leave the castle. "Yeah" they say in chorus.

We sit by the stones and chuck stuff down the gorge. Carmen and Sophie end up leaving but I can't go back in there any time soon. I pull out my photo album. There is a picture of me and mum by the sea. She made a sandcastle and I put my stick in it. Then there is me and dad ,when he had a nose, holding me up in the air. He has changed so much since then. Since he became cold.

I hear foot steps on the bridge. I stuff the photo album in my bag. Draco walks around the corner. "What are you doing here?" He asks, sitting down next to me. "Nothing" I say, leaning on the stone. "Look shadow. I need to talk to you about, you know who." He grabs my hand "what, dad?" I look at him. Does he already know "My dad wants me to become a death eater. To be like him." I see tears in his eyes. Draco has feelings? "If you do get chosen, remember my dad is the dark lord. I am already chosen" I say. I was trying to make him feel better but he looks confused. "What do you mean" I look around. Its just us. I pull up my sleeve. "Harry Potter is right. My dad is back"
