Shadow Riddle: A Harry Potter Fan Fic

Slytherin

"Slytherin" the hat screams above me. It happened. My dad predicted the truth about me. I walk to the table and sit across from Draco and next to Carmen Walsh. I can't believe they let me into Hogwarts never mind Slytherin. Professor Dumbledor raises his hands and food appears on the table. Roast chicken, goose, salmon, salad, bread and loads more. I couldn't believe how much food there was.

After the meal of a lifetime the house reps showed us to the dorms. "Password" the man in the picture says. He is tall and thin with a big top hat "Sniverousles" the rep says, sending giggles through us first years. The man bows his hat to us and opens his picture so we see a door. "Not as big as my room" I hear Draco mumble as we walk into the common room. "What a show off" a girl named Sophie mumbles under her breath.

After everyone is settled, me, Sophie and Carmen go down to the common room for a chat. I bring a box of chocolates and a blanket whilst Carmen brings down a blanket and a bottle of dragons breath squash. "My parents are both wizards, how about yours?" Carmen asks Sophie and me "both my parents are muggles but my Nana is a witch"

Carmen nods then turns to me

"how about you"

"Well, both my parents were magic but my mum died and then my dad got really really sick so he passed me onto muggles"

I must have looked really sad because Carmen hugs me and Sophie says

"don't worry its ok."

I pull out the box of pilbury chocolates I bought from Diagon Ally and pass them around.

"What are you doing up at this time" a familiar voice says behind us

"Having fun. Something you don't know of Draco!" Carmen laughs back

"Well I know for one eating chocolate is fun so pass one over." Draco declares to me. I offer the box to him. He pulls out a Carmel valley berry bun and pops it into his mouth as he drops onto one of the chairs.

"So where are you guys from?" Draco questions the three of us.

"Dragons reach. Perval road." Carmen announces

"Yorkshire road. London" Sophie replies to puzzled faces "but my Nana lives in hythen Yale."
"Oh" Draco and Carmen simultaneously say.

"I live with muggles too but my real parents live near diagon ally" I say. I have seen their house in diagon so I'm guessing I'm right.

"Well awfully nice to meet you but um I'm getting tired" Carmen says as she walks to the steps with Sophie on her tail. I get up to move but I notice Draco still has the chocolates.
"How is uh Lucius?" I ask trying to make convasation

"Great as always. He just got a pay rise so we have refurbished the house and added another set of rooms."  Draco asks. Sounding Quite snobbish.

"Cool. Well I'm getting really tired so instantly.
to bed. You can keep the chocolates." I say wanting to leave.
"Right yes. Well goodnight" Draco says as I start walking. Just as I go into the girls quaters I see him pack up the box and chuck a letter into the fire then starts walking up the stairs.

I run into the dorm and lie down. The beds are softer then I expected and I fall asleep almost instantly.
