Chapter 34

Today is the 24th and we are currently on our way to my parent's house with Alex driving.

My parents live in the outer parts of the city and is an hour away from my appartment.

I am very nervous for them to meet him since this is only the first time I brought a guy home with me.

My leg bounces up and down as we drive through the busy streets of New York.

"Hey, calm down" Alex says taking my hand and lightly squeezing it.

"I just can't" I say as I look at him

"I should be the one panicking. I am meeting your parents and anytime they don't like me they can just kick me out"

"I'm pretty sure they won't do that"

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

We pull up at my parents house which is also my childhood home.

I open my door and get out as Alex turns off the engine.

The door of the house opens to reveal my dad.

"Daddy" I say as I run towards him

"How have you been princess?" He always use that as his nickname for me.

"Good" I say as Alex approaches us.

"Good Afternoon Mr. Peterson, I'm Alex" Alex says

"Please just call me James and it's a pleassure to meet you" Dad says as they both shake hands.

"Please, come in. I'm sure liz would love to meet you" Dad says as we all enter the house.

We enter the kitchen and I spot mom cooking with her back turned against us so she doesn't see us.

"Liz" Dad says as Mom turns around and spots Alex and I.

Mom stops cooking and approaches us.

Mom and I hug before we pull apart and she approaches Alex.

"Your Royal Highness"

"Please just call me Alex, Mrs. Petrson" He says as they shake hands with one another.

"Just call me Elizabeth, you make me sound so old" Mom says as we all laugh.

"Where are your stuff?" Mom asks

"Still in the car" I say

"Do you want to freshen up first before lunch?" She says as I nod.

"Sure, where's Abby?" I ask

"She's still on the way, however she said she's bringing Aaron"

"Okay" I say as Alex and I go to the car to get our things.

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

We just finished bringing our stuff to the room we'll be staying at which is my old bedroom with updated furniture and all.

"So who's Aaron?" Alex asks while I check my phone for any mesaages.

"Abby's boyfriend" I say as he nods.

Before either of us can say anything else there's a knock on the door as it opens to reveal Dad.

"Time for Lunch, Abby's here already" he says as he heads downstairs.

Alex and I follow as well and I spot Abby by the living room.

"Lia""Abby" We both say each other's nickname at the same time as we hug.

After we pull apart I spot Aaron.

"Aaron, How have you been?" I say as we hug.

"Good, you?"

"Good as well" I say before turning back to Alex.

"Abby, Aaron meet Alex my boyfriend and Alex meet Abby and Aaron her boyfriend"

"Your Royal Highness" Abby says

"There's no need for that just Alex will do" Alex says as she nods and they both shake hands.

"Aaron, Nice to meet you" Aaron says

"Alex" Alex says as they both shake hands.

"Time for Lunch" Mom shouts from the kitchen as we all make our way to the dining table.

.....One Hour Later.....

We just finished eating and we are on our way to the living room.

"Alex, a word please" Dad says as Alex nods and follows him towards dad's  home office.

I can feel the panick in me rising once more as I hear the door close.

I decided to go to mom who was with Abby in the kitchen.

"Where's Alex?" Abby asks

"With Dad in his office" I say as she nods and I sit on one of the bar stools by the counter.

It's been a routine that whenever Abby and I bring a man in the house he would talk to him in his office for a few minutes.

"Well, all we can do is wait" Mom says before she hands me a mug of tea.

-----Alex' POV-----

I follow James to a home office as he sits in front of his desk and offers me the chair.

I take a seat and wait patiently for James to speak.

"Alex tell me about yourself" he says

"Well I am an only child and I am the Prince of Othilia, my parents are the King and Queen"

"How did you meet Amelia?"

"She was in Othilia with her friends, Sophia and Maddie and it turns out Sophia's father knows my father, and my father invited Sophia along with Maddie and Amelia"

"I want you to know that if you hurt Amelia I will make sure I hurt you even more and I don't care if you are the prince, I will hurt you if you hurt Amelia, are we clear?"

"Yes, sir" I say

"You're free to go now" he says as we both stand up and shake hands before I go out and start finding Amelia.

I check the room and living room but she isn't there. I decided to check the Kitchen and there I spot her.

"Amelia" I say as she turns around and smiles before hugging me.

"Mom, we'll be upstairs" she says

We go up to the room before she speaks "What happened in the office?"

"Nothing much, just told me to make sure I don't hurt you or he will hurt me back, Oh and he asked how we met"

"What did you say?"

"That my father invited you, Sophia and Maddie to the palace" I say as she nods.

We talk for a few minutes before we both fall asleep.
