Arthur and I sat together, my hand gripped with his. "Is there any way she can accompany me?" Arthur asked desperately.
"Unless you can find a way of sealing her pressure suit unfortunately you would have to go on this part with Mera," his father said. Arthur ran a hand through his hair. "Only you and your mother will stop this war."
"Ava are you sure you want to help me find her?" Arthur asked.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Have you tried using Atlantean glass?" Tom asked.
"Atlantean glass?" I asked turning my head to the side and looked at Arthur.
"It's strong, thick and should resist the pressure," Tom said.
"I will get caught trying to remove it," Arthur said.
"No need, I have some here," Tom said and left us in the living room for a second.
"I am sorry to hear your mother was banished," I said and leant my head on his shoulder, he gently rested his hand on my cheek and kissed my head.
"It was years ago, but we have hope of finding her again," he said.
"I will do what I can to help you," I said. His father returned to the pair sitting patiently in the living room. In his hand, he had a square piece of emerald and sapphire glass.
"How did you get that?" Arthur asked.
"Your mother gave it to me a long time ago she had a feeling one day you will need it," he replied. We both exchanged glances.
"Maybe you'll get to see Atlantis after all," Arthur smiled.
"Maybe," I replied.
"You are missing a wonder of the sea," Tom answered. I looked over the glass running my fingers over the smoothness and the craftsmanship of it.
"It's beautiful," I said.
"Get it to the lab now and see what they can do with it. Go now, I am afraid time is not on your side," Tom told us.
"Thank you," I said and hugged him before we left. We raced to the motorcycle and raced back to the lab. Alex was tending the suit as we entered.
"We have the answer to the pressure problem," Arthur said and placed the glass down on the table.
"Please don't tell me that's Atlantean glass!" he exclaimed shocked.
"It is," Arthur answered, he looked at us both smiling.
"How did you find it?" he asked.
"Don't worry about that," Arthur replied. "Can you replace the glass in her suit with this?"
"I can yes," he replied as he ran his fingers over the top of it delicately. "We don't get many rare things to travel through this lab, but this it's mesmerizing."
"Can we spare just a little bit for our collection?" I asked.
"Yes, but only a tiny bit," Arthur said. Suddenly the doors burst open and George stormed in with a mallet in his hand.
"So the rumours are true," his eyes locked with mine, "don't look so shocked Ava, you know I would do everything in my power to stop you helping your dear fish lover!" he exclaimed and swung the mallet down onto the glass breaking it.
"No!" we all screamed.
