The guards took me to one of the air pockets under the sea. The cold sunk deep into my bones, shivers snaked up and down my body. Two guards stood facing me their guns pointed towards me. "You guys are so awfully chatty," I giggled. They just blinked and ignored my comments. I tried to pull against my restraints but to no avail.

"You won't break them," one said.

"Made from the finest pearl the sea has to offer," the other said. I huffed and looked out at the rippling ocean. I rested my head against the wooden beam, the sound was almost hypnotic. I watched as sea creatures swim past, whales called to each other and dolphins clicked to one another. I thought I could see a radio tag on one of the dolphin's fins, I began to make clicking noises like the dolphins.

"Shut up!" one guard said, I continued making louder noises. "I won't warn you again!" One guard hit me with the butt of his gun, I shook off the pain and did it again. One dolphin split off from the pod and came to investigate, it was Mikey.

"Get help boy!" I yelled, with that one of the guards thrust the butt of their gun into my stomach.

"That should shut you up," one said. I let out a wheezed laugh.  My teeth chattered and my whole body shook. The guards chuckled at me.

"Someones not acclimatized to the temperature," the other laughed. The light that pierced the ocean disappeared as night now settled over the ocean. Ivory rays glimmered through the undulating water. The armour and guns of the guards glowed and were the only light in the air pocket.

"Couldn't make me a blanket out of kelp could ya?" I joked. Suddenly a man dressed all in black interrupted the silence.

"At ease soldiers, Orm says I am to watch the prisoner for tonight. He wishes for you to return to him immediately," he said, they nodded and left without questioning him.

"Who are you? Are you here to torment me?" I asked.

"Hush human, I am Vulko, I was Arthurs mentor at one time," he replied.

"So why are you here?" I quizzed him.

"I am here to save you, a war of the seas is not a place for humans, you're safer on land," he replied.

"War?" I asked, he walked behind me and broke the shackles, I  rubbed sore wrists.

"Now Orm has the shards he will put the trident together, and when he does he will control the ocean, but no doubt Arthur is rallying his own forces. But if he fails Orm will attack the land," he explained.

"Attack the land?" I asked confused.

"He will flood it, destroying everything in its wake and killing thousands," he explained.

"Arthur will stop him, I know he will," I said.

"I hope you're right Ava," he said. I looked at him slightly surprised.

"How do you know my name?" I inquired.

"Oh, Arthur didn't stop talking about you.  I promised him that if you ever got tangled in Atlantean affairs I would be there to take care and rescue you if needed," he explained.
