I awaken in the treehouse. It was a very long night full of thinking, smiling, and talking to myself.
The kiss was so magical. Powerful. It was nothing I've ever experienced. Nothing I ever thought of experiencing.
Love is something I've always been afraid of. It can make you or break you. But when I'm with Luke, love is something I crave. When I see him I want to give him everything I have and claim him as mine.
I debate on whether to go home or stay another couple days. I decide to stay just in case Luke comes back. Just in case.
I stand in the high roof treehouse.
What to do?
I walk to a small chest hidden in the corner of the treehouse. I pull on the latches but they are locked.
I grab a shovel from the floor and break them off. I pull open the top and find a black item of clothing. No not one. Two black articles of clothing.
I blow them off and unfold them. Both of them are tuxedos.
I pull off my clothes and slip into the fancy piece of clothing. It fits perfectly.
Now maybe Luke and I can go on a date in a restaurant.
Wait! What am I thinking? Luke will never want me. He is a prince and I am a peasant. Two different lifestyles. Two completely different people.
Even if he wanted to go on a date how would we afford it? He can't use his dads money and I don't have money.
I should get a job.
I pull off the tux and slip back into my clothes. I climb down the ladder on the treehouse and run out of the forest and into the center of the village.
I walk around the small circle and notice all the small stores in need of cleaning. I finally find a store with a help wanted sign in the window and walk in.
"Hi." Says a girl with dark brown hair and green eyes.
She smiles.
"Hi." I say smiling back at her.
"How can I help you?" she asks a smile still on her face.
"Umm I saw the sign in your window." I say.
"Oh the help sign. Do you want to work here?" she asks.
"Yes actually. Where do I apply?" I ask her.
"You've already made the job." she says walking to the front counter.
"Great." I say.
She hands me a T-shirt with the store logo on it. Eddie Bauer. Weird name.
I slip on the shirt and smile.
"So what do I do first?"

When I finally finish hanging pants and folding shirts it's time for my break.
I walk to the small room where people relax for breaks. I sit down beside the girl that employed me.
"I never did catch your name." I say.
"Stella and you are." she replies casually.
"Ashton. Ashton Irwin." I say.
"Well nice to meet you Ashton Irwin." she greets.
"Nice to meet you Stella." I say.
"Okay Ashton, let me give you a couple pointers." she says.
"We don't wear our normal clothes under our work clothes."
"Where do I change then?" I ask confused.
"We have a unisex locker room where we change. I could show you where it is after our shift is over." she answers.
"Okay that sounds cool." I answer.
"Oh and by the way we get our money every Wednesday afternoon and it happens to be that afternoon." she says standing up.
I look at the clock. My break is over. I stand up and walk back to the shoe section of the store and start setting out shoes.
(A/N) so I was going to make Ashton work at hot topic but I doubt that store was established when this took place.
