DANIEL, ZACH AND FLEUR were on their way home. The three friends sung to music and had a good time in the car. Both Daniel and Zach were so happy to see the singer again. She was really special to them, even though she didn't know it. True, they didn't talk to her since the show, but sometimes something needs to be taken away for you to realize how much you needed it.

The tallest boy pulled up in their driveway and grabbed the bag full of snacks. Zach and Fleur hopped out the car and they all went inside. Corbyn was fiddling in the kitchen while Jonah was nowhere to be seen.
Fleur turned around to take her shoes off.

"Hey guys, woth woah woah when you said shopping I didn't think you'd bring a girl home, who is she?" Corbyn spoke, confused.

Zach let out a shallow laugh and looked at Daniel mischeviously. "We found her at the store and brought her home," he shrugged.

Fleur rolled her eyes and finally wrestled the boots off her feet. She turned around and faced Corbyn. He looked exactly as she had remembered; bleached blonde hair and adorable expressions.

"Hey bean." She waved.

"Wait- Fleur?" He looked even more surprised than before. She nodded calmly.

"Last I checked, that's my name." She stated with a straight face.

Corbyn didn't hesitate any longer, he ran up and gave her a big bear hug. She chuckled as he lifted her off the ground.

"Your welcome." Zach laughed, before he looked serious again, "now let her go she's mine." He added.

Everyone burst out in laughter, which caused Jonah to appear. It took him about 5 seconds to react to what he saw, also running up and giving the long haired girl a hug. Fleur hugged back again, and smiled lightly. She had missed them so much.

"We brought her home for you guys." Daniel teased.

"Thanks Daniel. Now someone will understand my science jokes." Corbyn showed a goofy smile.

"We have a lot to catch up on, how about we start now?" Jonah sat down on the sofa and motioned everyone to follow. Daniel and Corbyn sat on the couch too. Zach slouched on a beanbag and Fleur sat next to him. She and Zach were always really cold, so it was an old habit to cuddle up together.

"Where do we start?" Corbyn asked no one in particular.

"From the beginning, I guess."

"Ok, we'll go first." Jonah said. He told Fleur how they had practically been tied down with work ever since tour ended. Their fans were demanding new music, and they worked hard to make new songs. Since tour had also taken up much time, they couldn't work on music during touring, which ended up with them having even more work. Coincidentally, they had just finished recording their new song, so they would have some time to themselves again.

Fleur listened happily, she was so proud of how hard they were working. However, she wanted to know how they were in general, not just the industry and business side of things.

"What about your lives? I mean, how are you doing?" She asked.

"Oh, I guess we were so caught up with work we forgot about everything else." Daniel shrugged, knowing that Fleur was one of the things that they had forgotten.

Fleur knew what she wanted to ask about, but she didn't have the guts to do it. It was not really her buisness, yet she was dying to know. Literally.

"Now you tell us. How are things on your side of life?" Zach smiled.

"Oh uhm..." taking a deep breath, Fleur decided to make the story sound less depressing and painful than it actually was. She definitely left out staying up all night and thinking of a certain someone, as well as her struggle to write songs that fit with her new album. All she could write about was how she missed him. During the months that had passed since tour, she did meet up with Kaya, who helped her a lot. Nevertheless, the constant over thinking stopped Fleur from getting enough sleep every night. It wasn't good. She felt unnoticed, she felt like just another person that went in and out of his life. But to her, he was the sun in the middle of it all. Her warmth and light. Yet he was so far away.

"...so yeah, not much happened, I missed you all really much though." She admitted sadly.

Zach noticed her sad smile and pulled her into his arms. She hugged back happily and hid her face in his chest. It was so calming for her to be with the boys again.

"Hey, we're all here now and our song has been recorded, we won't let you go again." He whispered in a comforting manner.

"Remember when we tried to make pancakes?" Corbyn suddenly broke the silence. Jonah looked at him in surprise but rolled his eyes and smiled, "all too well."

"You guys got flour everywhere!" Daniel complained, which caused everyone to start laughing. Fleur was still clinging onto Zach but she couldn't hold her muffled laughs in.

Just then, the door opened, revealing the fifth band member. He closed the door and walked over, surprised to see everyone on the couch.

"Hey I'm back- are you having a band meeting without me?" He acted hurt, and dramatically imitated wiping tears away. That's when he saw the unfamiliar girl in Zach's arms. He was curious, and very surprised.

"Oh, I didn't know you had a girlfriend Zach." He joked.

Fleur recognised his voice and sat up, only for her eyes to land on him. Jack instantly felt paralyzed in a strange way. He didn't know why, he just did. The sudden surge of sadness thst rushed through him was unexpected and random. Why was he sad to see his friend?

Maybe it was the comment he made seconds ago that hurt him.

"Fleur? What are you doing here?" To Fleur, his voice sounded a bit distant, less warm and comforting than the last time she saw him. She tried not to think much of it, but she was not prepared to see him again. His words made her feel like she didn't belong.

"We brought her home," Daniel explained.

"We're not dating" Zach laughed, but Fleur didn't join him. She really wanted to, so she forced a smile and looked at her hands.

She didn't know why it was suddenly so awkward between her and Jack. They used to be the closest out of everyone. As much as she wanted to go and hug him, her mind told her it wouldn't be a good idea. She did not know why, but deep down her heart reminded her that he already had someone.
