THE RAINDROPS SLOWLY got louder with each moment that passed, the storm had arrived and was only beginning to unleash its capability.

Fleur sat near the big window with a mug of tea in her hand. She listened as the wind howled and payed attention to the raindrops at they hit the glass and the roof. Outside it was cold and windy, yet inside it was calm. The storm gave her a sense of safety, yet all her mind could think about was one specific boy.

The boy she had trusted the most was now a stranger to her. It hurt. She wondered why he acted that way. What had Fleur done wrong?

All her life she never thought she would become so attached to a person as much as she felt attached to him, and that was scary. Especially since he didn't feel the same way, making her heart exposed and vulnerable.

"I got another blanket." Kaya smiled and caused Fleur to look up.

Kaya seated herself next to Fleur and wrapped the warm blanket around their bodies. She knew what was bothering her friend but didn't know how to help. And that made her frustrated with herself. Fleur closed her eyes and let her thoughts carry her into anothef world, a one where she could be herself with no worries.

Kay chuckled at her best friend's spacing out, she had gotten used to it happening often but didn't mind, as they could space out together.

Eventually the two girls started talking about mindless things, not wanting to fall asleep since it was not late at all. Both of them felt happy to have each other. Fleur could always forget her problems when she was with Kaya.

"Oh guess what, yesterday I met up with Daniel, and well the others too." Fleur mentioned, remembering the day before.

"Well they better have a good reason for not contacting you." Kaya responded quickly. It was only half joking.

"It's ok, we were all busy with music." Fleur hummed.

Kaya didn't look so convinced but shrugged. "What about Jack?"

Fleur visibly tensed up at the mention of the curly haired boy. Her eyes travelled to the floor before she looked at Kaya, "He has a girlfriend, and well, it's awkward now."

Kaya couldn't help but sigh loudly. How could he be that dumb? "He really doesn't know how to act around girls" Kay thought to herself.

"Maybe... maybe you should tell him."

"Tell him what?" The light pink haired girl raised an eyebrow in surprise and confusion.

"Your feelings. Get them off your chest so they won't bother you. And then you will know how he feels. And even if he doesn't feel the same, at least you were honest. I mean, what have you got to lose?"

Fleur thought about what Kaya said, it made sense but still scared her very much. What did she have to lose? Their friendship? Well it seems that was already lost. She couldn't help but admit that her friend was right.

"Maybe once in my life I should be brave. My heart has already been broken. I can't just hide my feelings forever. I can't be naive and wait for my prince charming to confess. Maybe then I'll be happy, knowing I tried, knowing that I did all that I could to make him mine. I was always hiding away, feeling sorry for myself. It's time to change, for the better." Was what Fleur was thinking. She knew that she would do it.

"Okay, I'll do it." Fleur smiled. It was a real smile. For the first time in a while she felt better. "Thank you."

Kaya hugged her close friend and they spent the rest of the day watching movies and talking.

Corbyn stood up and walked up to the door before opening it. In front of him stood Fleur, her small figure was obviously wet from the rain outside. It had been raining non-stop for a few days.

"Fleur? What brings you here?" Corbyn asked, surprise was evident on his face.

Before she could reply, however, he pulled her inside and closed the door so she could warm up. She thanked him and wiped the raindrops off her face.

"Oh uhm I just came by to tell Jack something? Is he here?" She asked.

Corbyn seemed even more surprised that the usual tone of shyness was gone from her voice. It was strange, yet he found it intriguing. He thought for a moment before replying, "yeah, he's upstairs in his room. I think he's on the phone though."

"Great, I won't take long so I'll just quickly tell him." She nodded and disappeared before Corbyn could say anything else. He wondered what she was going to tell Jack, but decided against listening to the conversation, despite really wanting to.

Fleur hopped on every second step of the stairs before she arrived in front of Jack's room. The door was closed so she knocked, but didn't bother to wait for an answer. Fleur would have never done something like that if it wasn't important, or if she didn't just want to get something over with.

Jack jumped slightly from the surprise, and almost dropped his phone. Luckily he caught it and placed it on his table before it could break. He turned only to see the girl he was least expecting, standing in front of him.
