Chapter 3: The question part 1

It was the second week at the Storm Spire Lain and Runaan were sparring in the training arena in the Spire, Tiadrin and Ethari were making tea and catching up. "So was Rayla a pain?" Tiadrin asked her friend sitting next to her, "You should be asking Runaan this question, Tia!" Ethari said laughing and Tiadrin also laughed. "How long has Rayla and Callum been together?" Tiadrin asked "I really don't know how long but they came to Silvergrove together so for a week or so" Ethari replied and Tiadrin gave him a look that sent chills down his spine.

Callum woke up to arms around him, he paniced and looked behind him. It was Rayla. Callum softly looked at her she must of had a nightmare Callum thought to himself, he gently moved the hairs off Rayla's face and she woke up. "Hey" Callum said to sleepy Rayla "hey sorry I had a- " "nightmare?" Callum said and Rayla looked down and nod, " they are here in person, Ray" Callum said now holding her "it's not that, it's the night we first met, Callum" Rayla said climbing out of bed.

Callum just stared at the ground.

(An hour later)
Callum and Rayla got dressed. Callum would be in the lunch hall because he had really no business doing anything and Rayla went on her shift as Dragonguard. Callum just opened his sketch book and started drawing, he was drawing for an hour and didn't noticed Lain sitting in front of him. "So how long have you and my daughter been dating?" Lain asked with his arms crossed, Callum, who jumped a little in his seat, "oh umm.... since the Midnight Desert." Callum replied to the elf in front of him. "What do you like about her?" Lain asked "what I like? I love everything about her she is beautiful, strong, smart, caring, funny, and she knows I'll always be there for her." Callum said with a soft voice and looked at the sketch, it was Rayla and him on the day of their wedding, Rayla in a ball gown, with her hair in waves curls. Callum just stared at the picture for moment. "What else would you like to know about me?" Callum asked.

"Well how did you and my daughter REALLY meet?"
