Chapter 6: Reason

(Somewhere close to the spire)
"What are we going to do dad? The baby dragon is with his mother and she would have us killed if we go to her!" Claudia said, Aaravos was looking at Viren, who was looking through spell books "I don't know, Claudia!" Viren said back to his daughter. Aaravos walked over to a wall and stared at it "What about a snow storm? In Xadia, this might sound crazy, but snow storms are rarely events here and the baby dragon would be asleep even if he's a storm dragon, because he is still growing." Aaravos said turning over to Viren and Claudia "And then we will attack". Viren and Claudia looked at each other then at Aaravos "that could work, until the right time".

In the Storm Spire:

Lain, Tiadrin, Ethari, Callum, and Rayla were all in the Lunch Hall eating and chatting, while Runaan was in the area practicing with a dummy, with every shot he saw Viren in front of him. The man that took everything away from him, his family, and Xadia, Runaan was so focused that he didn't hear his name being called. "Runaan?" he heard his name turned with dagger in hand and it was Tiadrin, Runaan just dropped his arm and gave her a hug. Tiadrin hugged backed at a moment they broke the hug, "what are you still doing here?!?! I thought you left!" Runaan said with tears in his eyes, "No not until the storm lightens. I need the reason Runaan." Tiadrin said sitting on the ground.

Runaan also sat on the floor next to Tiadrin and they stayed that way for a moment until Tiadrin said something. "So was Rayla a pain or was she more like Lain?" She asked, Runaan just gave a small smile "believe me she was more like you when she got older...." Runaan thought back to where Rayla was talking to her sparring partner, Callisto, and when they were talking Runaan got a glimpse of Tiadrin when Rayla laughed "Runaan?" Tiadrin asked "Rayla said she was ready and I brought her on her first ever mission.......and she didn't kill the guard and when I got to the castle she was there and I was wanting her to go back, so I thought I should scare her.... I'm so sorry." He replied still thinking of that moment "do you want to go eat in the lunch hall? I will make sure Lain doesn't lay a hand on you." Tiadrin said getting up and offering a hand to her friend, Runaan accepted her hand and got up.

They both walked out of the arena and down the long empty hall way. It was so quiet that you can hear a mouse. When they both reached the lunch hall Runaan looked over and there was an empty chair next to Lain, must of been Tias' he thought to himself. Tiadrin walked over to Lain and sat on his lap, Lain was surprised at first but ended up kissing her cheek, Lain had a smile on his face until he saw Runaan taking the set next to him and that's when he looked up at Tiadrin and all she did was looked at him with a look in her eye that he didn't like at all.

"So when is the wedding?" Tiadrin ask Rayla and Callum. Callum chocked on water while Rayla just blushed and put a hand over her eyes, "I'm just asking since you guys love each other so much!" Tiadrin said drinking her cup of tea. Lain avoid eye contact with Runaan the whole time, Ethari can tell that Runaan was very quiet, "Hey Lain, I can't seem to find my way around here can you help me?" Ethari asked while getting up from his set. Lain tapped Tiadrin on the back and she got up, so Lain could get up, he and Ethari talked and walked out of the lunch hall. "You can breathe now, Runaan" Rayla said bitting into her food "I just want to say I'm sorry and I shouldn't have scared you at the castle. I should of listened to you because you were right, I'm sorry" Runaan said looking at Rayla, Rayla just got up, walked over, and hugged Runaan.
