-Rachell pov-

Grey drives and sings while tapping the wheel to the beat. The moonlight giving the perfect amount of lighting to his face. "You hungry?" He asks me and i smile. "Yeah I'm kind of hungry. Texas Roadhouse?" I ask and he smiles at me. "As you wish." He says and pulls into the parking lot. He gets out and opens my door. "Always the gentleman." I tell him and he smiles while putting his arm around my shoulder. "I try to be." He says as we walk inside. We are quickly seated and order our drinks. "So what are our plans now?" I ask and he smirks. "Don't worry about it Rae.  I want my whimsical plan to surprise you." He tells me and i smile.

As our food arrives i can't help but look at Grey. "Take a picture since it'll last longer." He says and i smile before taking a picture of him. I then reach over and ruffle up his hair. "So what are your plans for the future?" I ask and he smiles. "Find a nice girl and settle down then have a few kids." He tells me and i smile. "That is the same plan you had when we were teenagers." I tell him and He nods. "It's a good plan." He tells me and i nod. "A perfect plan. But she's gotta get through me first." I tell him not happy he's looking for a girl. "Of course. If she can't get along with you then she isn't the one." He says and I nod happily.

We leave the restaurant and he picks me up into the Jeep. He gets in and i put in his throwback CD. We drive for a while in a comfortable silence, just listening to the CD. He pulls into the park close to the apartment. He gets out and opens my door making me confused. I hop out and he leads me down the path. "Are you going to kill me?" I ask him and he laughs. "After all we've been through? Come on Rachel." He says and I giggle. As we walk i can't help it and look up at him again. The moonlight gives his skin an exotic glow, his hair shines, and his eyes look almost hazel. He hums a little tune as we walk and i look at his lips. He looks down at me and he smiles. "Wanna skip some rocks?" He asks and i smile. "Thought you would never ask." I tell him and remember the day we became bestfriends.

-flashback-

Mom and i were waiting at the park for her friend. "Now remember Rachel Grey is a little younger than you so be nice." Mom says. "Okay Mama." I say and we see an suv pull up. I can see my Mom's friend and a boy get out. They walk up to us and the boy looks at me as our parents talk. "Do you wanna skip rocks?" He asks. "I don't know how." I tell him and he smiles. "I'll show you. My older brothers taught me." He says and leads me to the pond. When it came time to leave i hugged him. "I'm Rachell." I tell him and He smiles brightly. "I'm Grey." He says happily.

-flashback end-

"Hello Earth to Rae!" Grey calls to me and i look at him. "You okay? You kinda spaced out there." He says in concern and i blush. "Just remembered how small you were back then." I tell him and He laughs. "I was pretty small back then. But so were you." He says and i nod while picking up a rock. "Let's see if you remember what i taught you." He says and we proceed to skip rocks.

Two hours later we head back to his Jeep and i grab my phone. "Oops. Sixteen missed calls from our friends." I say and he chuckles lightly. "Good people to check up on you." He says as we get in and drives us back to the apartment.

As we head up to my place i call Imani to tell her what happened. "I'm so sorry guys! I didn't know you two were uncomfortable there!" She says and Grey chuckles lightly. "It's all good. No harm, no foul." Grey says as we walk into my apartment. "You want first shower?" He asks and i roll my eyes. "You can have first shower." I tell him and he nods before going inti the bathroom.

"Did you have fun on your date?" Imani asks. "Yes. Wait! It wasn't a date!" I tell her and she laughs victoriously. "It's okay Rae. Him being with you brought up some old feelings. Just know the more he goes out, the bigger chance of him getting a girlfriend." She says and i think about it before frowning. "And there is a chance that girl will be thirsty for his attention. Then we can kiss Grey spending time with us goodbye." She says and i grip my phone tightly. "You're right." I tell her and then Grey gets a text which turns on his screen. Looking at the background i can see it's the picture of us on his old 2002 Pontiac Bonneville.

-flashback-

"Who would date an ugly girl like you?" A girl tells me as i look for a way out. "It must be sad your only friend feels bad for you." She says and pushes me. "Hey!" I hear and look past them to see Grey with the Principal. "Miss Sanders! I have had it with you and your friends bullying girls! To my office now!" The Principal orders and Grey hugs me close. "Come on." He says and leads me out the school. We get in his car and he drives us to his house.

When we get there Grey puts me on the trunk. "Stay here and I'll be right back." He says and i sit waiting for him. He soon returns with two ice cream cones. He hops up onto his trunk with me and hands me one. "Grey. Do you pity me?" I ask him immediately and he hugs me. "Rachel. You are my best friend and my first friend. Sometimes I feel like I'm a burden to you since I'm younger." He says and i hug him back. "Never." I tell him and we hear giggling. Looking up we see his mother taking a picture. "Heard what happened and came home. You okay Rachel?" She asks and I nod before leaning into Grey. "I've got my Teddy bear to protect me." I say and can see Grey blush brightly.

-flashback end-

"Rae!" Imani yells and i blush. "Hey shower is all yours." Grey says walking out in shorts and still drying his hair. I smile at him until i hear a wolf whistle from Imani and quickly hang up on her. "Forgot a shirt?" I ask and he nods. "Yeah sorry." He says. "I don't mind." I say and quickly cover my mouth. Grey only yawns and smiles before messing up my hair. "I'm off to bed." He says. "You sleep on the left!" I tell him and he nods while shutting the door.

I hop in the shower and let the water flow down my body. Closing my eyes and washing my hair. "Need some help my Warrior Maiden?" I hear Grey asks and i open my eyes to see I'm alone. "What the hell?" I ask and finish up. Drying off and getting dressed in a pair of shorts and Grey's shirt. Walking into our room i can see Grey asleep and a soft snore coming from him. Getting in next to him i lay my head on his chest. His arm wraps around me and i smile. "I could get used to this." I tell myself and fall asleep.
