An old Friend's Return

-Valkyrae pov-

I sigh as i open up my laptop and search through the games i have. My cursor finally lands on League of Legends. Smiling i open it up and started to set up my stream. I went live and smiled at my camera. "Goodmorning guys today I'll be streaming League of Legends!" I say happily as people started to tune in.

Right before I could hit the queue button, my notifications went off. Pulling up my friend list i see my childhood friend Grey got online. Thinking quickly i sent him a message to join my discord. It only took a few seconds for him to join.

"Yo yo?" Grey asks and i smile. "Yo yo." I respond happily and he laughs. "What's happening Rachell?" He asks in a happy tone. "Not much. Moved to L.A and got my own apartment!" I tell him. "Aye! That's awesome Rae!" He tells me. "What are you up to?" I ask him and he groans in annoyance. "Work, work, and more work." He sighs making me laugh quietly. "Oh? Still at that movie theater?" I ask and he laughs before stopping. "Nope. Quit that place seven years ago. Working on Guardrail now." He says. "So construction?" I ask and he laughs genuinely. "Yeah construction. You gonna invite me?" He asks and i smirk. "Sorry G I don't want to carry you." I tell him. "And my feelings are hurt." He says and i laugh before sending him an invite.

"Let's roll." Grey says and I start the queue smiling brightly. Muting my microphone i turn to my chat. "Grey is my childhood friend from Washington. We grew up together since our Moms are bestfriends. No matter how bad things were for me, Grey always had my back." I tell my chat as they ask questions about him. "Yo Valk!" Grey calls out to me. Looking at the screen i see we are in a game and he has chosen Ahri. I quickly choose Evelyn and pick her KD/A skin to match his Ahri.

As soon the game starts Grey, Darius, and Blitzcrank invade the enemy camps. When Kha'zix came for his blue buff we jumped him. Blitzcrank launches his arm successfully grabbing Kha'zix. As he is getting pulled, Grey launches his Orb of Deception hitting twice, i follow up with my Hate Spikes, and finish him off with a few auto attacks. "Good job!" Grey says as he goes back to mid.

I look at the chat as i help Darius take Kha'zix's blue buff. "I am not bullying the Kha'zix!" I tell my chat. "Who ya talking to?" Grey asks. "Myself." I quickly reply and he laughs. Muting my microphone i look at my camera. "He doesn't know I'm the streamer Valkyrae. He doesn't watch any streams. He only watches Marksman, Wildcat, and most of the Vanoss crew. He only knows about Courage, Tim, and Nick from stream highlights. I still want him to think I'm just a gamer." I explain and see a bunch of aww's and hearts. I smile at my chat knowing most of them wouldn't tell him.

"Rachell you okay?" Grey asks. "Yeah I'm good." I respond as i help Ash and Blitzcrank. I sit in a bush waiting for Jinx and Soraka to overextend. All of a sudden Blitzcrank turned and caught Jinx, i use Allure to pull the Jinx closer, Ashe uses her Ranger's Focus to finish her off. Soraka tries to run until Grey dashes in and charms her, using that time Ashe uses her ult which stuns Soraka and i finish her. Ashe and Blitzcrank send a thank you. "Fucking Garren and Zed!" Grey say as the shut down was announced. "Thanks for the warning Darius." Grey sighs to himself as i glare at my screen. Going to where he was slain i destroyed Zed and caught Garren recalling. "Hell yeah Rachell! That's what I'm talking about!" Grey says triumphantly making me laugh. "I got your back G." I say making him laugh.

Eventually we push through and take the Victory. "Man Rachell you are a beast." Grey tells me and i smile. "You're not bad yourself." I tell him and he laughs. As we joke and laugh while playing League, i found out he is top ten percent with Ahri. "Wow you're top ten percent with Ahri?!" I ask in shock as he laughs nervously. "Yeah. I was getting bored of playing League alone. So i made it my goal to be the number one Ahri in the world. I'm getting close but I'll never get it." He says. "But you're so good!" I tell him and he laughs happily. "But there is always someone better." He says and i go to respond but Sykkuno joined. "Hey Rae you wanna play Minecraft?" He asks. "Sorry Sykkuno I'm-" I cant finish as Grey interrupts me. "She's all yours bro. I gotta work in the morning. I'll catch you later Rachell be safe." Grey says and leaves Discord. "Who was that?" Sykkuno asks confused. "That was my childhood and still bestfriend Grey." I tell him. "Wow. I haven't heard you talk about him." Sykkuno says and i sigh. "A lot has been on my mind recently, and with the move i forgot." I say and he gasps. "You can't forget your bestfriend! You gotta let him play with us more!" He says and i laugh nervously. "Well he doesn't know I'm a big streamer, and I'd like to keep it that way for now." I tell him. "No problem we can use our second account's so he won't know." He says and i laugh. "Okay you win. I'll invite him." I say.

"Awesome! I feel like he's going to fit rite in!" Sykkuno says. After playing with Sykkuno and Toast for a few hours i shut down my stream, and log off for the night. After showering and getting into my comfortable clothes i lay in my bed. Getting back up i go to my unopened boxes and search through them. Eventually i find the picture of Grey and I when we graduated Highschool. "Good to talk to you again Grey." I say and yawn before falling asleep.
