A Better Day

-Rachell pov 1 week later-

"Rachell it's time to get up." I hear a soothing voice tell me. Waking up i see Imane smiling and giggling at me. "What's up Imane?" I ask her as i stretched. "Get dressed! We have a surprise for you!" She says excitedly and hurries to my door. "Come on!" She says before walking out. I look at my door confused before getting dressed.

As i walk out to the living room i can hear Imane, Janet, and Celine laughing with a familiar male voice. Walking out i see a tall guy with tan skin, black hair that frames his face, it falls just above his shoulders, with small curls throughout it. He turns to me and i see warm chocolate eyes full of life. "Wow someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." The man says smiling and i glare at him. "There's that famous glare i grew up with." He says and I look at him weirdly. "Can you let us talk to her?" Imani asks the guy and he nods before walking out.

"I know you said you didn't want Grey to know you're a big Youtuber. But it has been so long since you two have talked face to face. So Janet and i looked him up on Facebook. We sent him a message and started to talk to him. After a while we told him that we were roommates with you." Imani says. "You what?!" I yell at her in shock now realizing the man was Grey. Before she can say another word i sprint to the door. Quickly opening it i see a girl talking to him.

I quickly slide under his arm and hug him. "You've changed so much! I missed you!" I tell him happily and he hugs me gently. "I missed you too Rachell." He says his voice sounding sweet. As he's distracted i glare at the girl angrily, she shudders slightly and quickly walks away. "Come on inside and sit down." I tell him as i pull him. "Right behind you." He laughs as we enter the apartment again.

"So how long are you going to be here? Where are you staying? How's your Mom?" I ask him quickly. "I took two weeks off of work, your roommates said they had something planned, she's doing well. Asks about you alot." I tell her. "Sorry we forgot to have something set up! We were so focused on getting you here and on surprising Rachell!" Janet groans sadly. "That's fine. I'll just spend the day and head home. Then we can plan something-" Grey begins. "No! You can stay with me in my room!" I blurted out quickly. "Are you sure? We aren't kids anymore Rachell." Grey tells me and i glare at him. "Yes! If you remember correctly you bave to do what i say!" I tell him and he groans. "We made that bet back in Middle School!" He argues and i poke his chest. "Then you must remember i never said anything about a termination date." I remind him. "No way out huh?" He asks and i shake my head. "Negative Ghost Rider." I tell him. "Alright I'll go grab my bags." He says and walks out.

"Damn Rachell!" Celine says in surprise. "What?" I ask her confused by her outburst. "He's not even here for ten minutes, and you have him whipped." Janet says shocking me. "You think you can control yourself Rae?" Imani asks with a giggle making me blush. "Shut up Imani!" I yell at her. "Rachell you can't be mean to your roommates." Grey says walking in with a few bags. "But she started it!" I yell and point at Imani. He laughs and messes with my hair. "Did you get shorter?" He asks much to my displeasure. "Shut up!" I yell at him before leading him into my room. "So they told me you do game reviews now." He says and i smile. "Yeah. We all do but we also Vlog." I tell him and he nods while placing his bags down. He turns to me with a smile and i can't help but hug him again. "I missed your hugs!" I tell him as he hugs back. "I missed you too. Though I'm not as big as i was." He laughs making me smile.

We sit on my bed and talk about our lives until now. I told him about my breakup with Sonii and the friends I've made. He told me about his work and the crew he's been with. The way he talks about them makes it seem like they are their own family. But whenever i speak and ask questions he always lets me talk, even my dumbest questions he takes seriously. "You know Grey. Somethings never change and I'm glad they don't." I tell him and He laughs happily. "I'm glad too. You're the same Rachell i grew up with." He says his eyes shining with happiness. "Hey guys dinner is ready." Imani says through my door.
