The Big Move

-Rachell pov-

It's been three days since Grey woke up and I've been called to the hospital. "Hello Alexis." I say and she smiles at me. "Hey girl. The Doctor is waiting for you outside of Grey's room." She says and I nod before heading there.

As i walk down the hallway i see the doctor looking at his clipboard. "Hello." I say and He looks at me. "Rachell I'm glad you're here. Grey is refusing to eat and he doesn't sleep much. I was hoping you could talk to him." He says and i nod to him. I enter Grey's room to see him staring our the window.

"I'm not hungry." He growls out in annoyance. "I didn't ask if you were hungry. I just came to see my bestfriend." I tell him and He looks at me. "What's wrong?" I ask and he looks at me. "I see them Rachell. We were joking about the job. Then i saw the truck enter the lane. I screamed for them to move but the line truck was hit, and i was thrown off the truck onto the ground. I woke up in excruciating pain but i looked up and saw the destruction. I moved as fast as i could but they were already dead. Just when i thought i was alone, i heard Jeff coughing and groaning in pain. I limped as fast as i could to him. He asked me how everyone was and i lied to him. I told him they were fine and dealing with the police." He says and i squeeze his hand.

"Maybe if i was on the ground they could have lived." He says and I look at him. "Or you could be dead too." I tell him. "But at least i could have tried." He says sadly which angers me and I slap him. "How dare you!" I yell at him as he holds his cheek. "Do you think your friends want you to regret living?! What about Jeff?! If you were on the ground maybe ALL of you would be dead! Jeff is alive thanks to you! What about him?! What about your family?! What about ME?! How do you think i would feel if my bestfriend died?!" I yell at him as i start to cry. "Rachell." He says quietly as i glare at him. "I would be fucking devastated if you died! Of course i have other friends! But you are my BESTFRIEND! No one can replace you! Don't you understand that?! Am i getting into your thick skull you fucking idiot?!" I yell at him.

"I'm sorry." He whispers and i look at him. "Now you better eat. I'll go grab you anything!" I yell at him and he puts on a clearly fake smile. "I'll eat anything you get me." He says and i nod. "You're damn right you will." I tell him and leave to grab him food.

I had just given Grey his food as his Mother walked in. "Rachell. Could you step outside for a second?" She asks and i get up. "Sure thing Ms.Koi-Len." I say and follow her out the room. Grey's doctor stands with a clipboard in hand. "So what did you need to tell us?" Ms.Koi-Len asks nervously. "We had a psychiatrist come in and test Grey's mental health. The result is quite worrisome." He tells us and my heart beats quickly. "Grey has severe depression as well as the worst case of Survivors Guilt I've ever seen. I think it would be best for him to have a change of scenery." He tells us. "He can stay with me!" I tell him and his Mother looks at me in shock. "I live in LA, completely new scenery, he'll be around people he knows, and I'll stay with him!" I explain and his Mother sighs before smiling. "Thank you Rachell. I'll stay with his sister Talia." She says and the doctor smiles. "I'll need you to sign some papers then." He says and i walk with him.

I signed some documents for Grey's release, and got some prescriptions for sleeping pills. "Now remember Grey can only take two pills before bed. He refused to take any painkillers so he will be in some pain." He tells me and i nod to him. "That should be everything. Any questions?" He asks and i smile. "No sir." I tell him and he nods. "Take care Rachell." He says and walks off. That's when it sinks in and i blush with a smile. "Grey is going to be living with me." I say happily and walk back to his room.

I enter his room to see him looking out the window. "What do you need from your house?" I ask him and he looks at me. "Ma has it covered and my brothers are going to follow us with my car." He says and I sit on his bed. "I'm sorry. I said a switch in scenery would be good for you." I tell him and He laughs before wincing in pain. "Hurts to laugh?" I ask and he sighs. "I'm okay. You really okay with me staying with you?" He asks and I smile before playing with his hair. "Wouldn't have you go anywhere else." I tell him. "I'll make sure to get a job-" He says and i put my finger to his lips. "I make more than enough for both of us." I tell him with a smile as i see a small blush on his face. (Grey and Jeff will be suing the truck company but that will be later.)

I walk out of the hospital with Grey behind me. We are a little behind schedule since we talked to Jeff. He's headed back home to Virginia to be with family. "Well i guees we're headed to LA huh?" He asks and i smile at him. "Yeah. It'll be just like when we were younger." I tell him and he laughs. "Yeah. The good ole days." He says and looks at the sky. Following his gaze i see he's watching a cloud. "It looks like a couple laying in the sun." I say and He laughs. "Yeah." He says and I smirk. "You see a shark don't you?" I ask and he laughs louder. "I liked yours better." He tells me and I roll my eyes as we walk up to my vehicle. "To new beginnings." I tell him and he smiles a forced smile. "New beginnings." He says and he gets a phone call.

"Hello?" He asks and puts it on speaker. "Baby Boy!" I hear Grey's brother Anthony yell. "Hey old man." He responds. "We got your stuff and ready to ride bro." He says. "Alright I'll send you the address." Grey tells him and sends him my address. "Want me to drive?" He asks and i look at him unamused. "No. You rest and don't lie to me cause i know you're in pain." I tell him and he sighs. "Yeah. I am in a little pain." He admits and rotates his shoulder. "Well I'm driving then." I say and open my door as he gets in.

I drive to the nearest pharmacy to get his sleeping pills. "Here." I tell him and hand him two. He takes them and leans back in the seat. "Besides my Ma you are the only person I trust to drive me anywhere." He tells me and i laugh at him. We soon get on the highway and i turn on some music. "So you excited?" I ask him and look to see him asleep. "Goodnight G. Sweet dreams." I tell him as i drive.

-So Grey is moving in with Rachell now. I'll start on their relationship soon since they are already Bestfriends. But what will happen with Grey's nightmares? I'll see you all in the next one. Be safe.-
