The Kiss

-Rachel pov-

"Mama!" I hear a girl yell happily and i wake up slowly. I see a small girl with black hair, brown eyes, and a bright smile. "Yes? Who are you?" I ask and she looks hurt. "It's me Mama! Your little Tiger!" She says trying to remind me. "Talia! I thought i told you to let Mama sleep?" I hear a man ask and scoop up the girl. "Sorry Papa." She says and the male laughs. "No problem Little Bear. Now off to the kitchen with your sister." He says and puts her down. She runs off giggling and the man shakes his head. I look up at him and my eyes widen. "Grey?" I ask and he smiles at me.

"Yeah. I know you did a twenty-four hour stream with Corpse and Sykkuno. But i didn't think you'd forget your own husband." He says and i look at him in shock. He sits and puts his hand to my forehead. "You're burning up Baby. I'll make you some soup just rest." He says and walks out quickly. I look around the room to see our wedding pictures, then a picture of a pregnant me. "We have twins?" I ask myself and pick up the picture. "Talia and Erika." I read and smile brightly before walking out the room.

I walk down the steps into a big living room where a German Shepherd lays on the couch. "Mama?" Another girl asks and i smile as i turn to her. "Yes Erika?" I ask her and see she's a miniature me. "Talia said you were not feeling well." She says and i smile. "No baby I'm just tired." I tell her and she smiles. We walk onto the kitchen and i see Grey cooking and Talia eating breakfast. "Mama?" Talia calls to me and i smile at her and nod my head. "Can we go to the park?" She asks and i smile brightly. "Of course we can!" I tell her happily and both girls celebrate. Grey sets down a bowl and pulls out the chair. "Eat baby." He says and i sit down to eat with them.

A little bit after breakfast i help the girls into matching outfits, that i know Grey bought them. As i walk into our room i see Grey putting on a button up shirt. "Dressing to impress?" I ask him and he laughs. "Why would i try and impress anyone but my beautiful wife?" He asks and i roll my eyes. "So how long have we been married?" I ask him and he laughs. "Ten years Rae." He says shocking me.  "Get dressed and meet us outside. Some fresh air will do you good." He says and kisses my cheek softly before leaving.

"So I've been married ten years, to my best friend, we have twins, and a nice house. What else is in store for me?" I ask myself before getting dressed in some comfortable but cute clothes. I walk outside to see Grey putting the twins into a Jeep Trackhawk. "New Jeep?" I ask him and shakes his head. "Got it a few years ago." He says and i smile.

We arrive at the park and the twins hop out quickly. "Girls!" Grey calls put only for a tall man to stop them. "Now i know you two aren't about to run off without your parents." He says and the two laugh nervously. "Thanks Jeff." Grey says and the two shake hands. "No problem broski. Family gotta look after each other. Rachel it's good to see you. Loved the stream yesterday." He says and i smile and hug him. "Glad you liked it." I tell him as Kelsey walks out with a little boy and girl. Grey and Jeff lead the kids into the park as the two had baseball gloves. "Thank you again for sending us the house information Rae. This has helped those two so much." She says and i smile brightly. "No problem Kelsey." I tell her. "We should catch up to those two since they can get into trouble." She says and we walk after them.

Grey and Jeff throw a baseball back and forth talking about something. I look over to see our kids playing tag happily while laughing. But something felt off, like i didn't belong here, like this isn't real. "So did you figure it out yet?" Kelsey asks with a smile. "This isn't real is it?" I ask her and she shakes her head no. Everything slowly fades to black leaving only Kelsey and Grey. "This was all a dream?" I ask and Grey sighs. "Yes it is Rae. But it could be real." He says and i turn to Kelsey only to see an older me. "Grey doesn't have the balls to tell you his feelings. So you gotta woman up and kiss him!" She tells me and Grey sighs defeated. "It's true." He says and i think about what happened in my dream as they started to fade. "Goodluck Rachel." I tell myself as the world turned white.

I groan as i open my eyes and look at the pillow that i was cuddling. "Grey?!" I ask worried. "Kitchen!" He calls out to me and i hurry into the kitchen. Imani and Janet are at the table as Grey cooks with a smile on his face. "You could have woken me up." I tell him and he shakes his head. "You were sleeping so peacefully i didn't want to wake you up." He says and i hear my friends giggle. I shoot them a playful glare and they stop. "So how did you sleep?" I ask him. "Like a baby. No nightmare." He tells me and i fist pump in victory. "Sit and eat." He tells me and puts a plate of French toast in front of us. We all sit and eat happily in quiet. "So Grey. What do you want for your birthday?" I ask him and he shakes his head. "You don't have to get me anything Rae. Just living here is more than enough." He says and i growl in frustration. "You're getting something for your birthday and that is final!" I tell him and He laughs at me.

Janet and Imani leave to stream Raft but i look at Grey. "We're going out." I tell him and He laughs. "Where are we goin?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders. "I'm driving so don't worry about it." I tell him and He laughs more. "You got it boss." He says and I smile triumphantly. Grey and i get dressed in some casual clothes. I go to grab my keys. "Rae catch." He says and i catch his Jeep keys. "Really?" I ask him and he nods. "I trust you." He says and I smile brightly. We walk down and take the top down. He puts on his Oakley's, and i put my phone on his stand turning on my stream. As i drive i can see people tuning in. "What's up everyone!? Today is gonna be a little different so enjoy a chill day with us!" I say excitedly and put in his burnt CD. As we drive Grey reads out questions and we both answer. "What was your first game growing up that had an impact on you?" I ask him. "Fire Emblem easily. The early games made you think about your decisions. The wrong move and weapon could lead to you losing a character." He says and i nod remembering his adoration for those games. I pull into top golf and park.

"Okay guys place your bets on who's going to win." I tell them as we walk in and pay. We get our clubs and walk to our spot. I go first and hit the ball but missed the rings. "Here let me help." Grey says and sets up a ball. He walks behind me and makes slight adjustments to my form carefully. "It's all in the hips Rae." He says and i take a swing on his turn. I celebrate as i scored and look at him but see a bunch of hearts in my chat. Grey hugs me and laughs happily making me blush. "Nice shot!" He says and i hold out my hand to him, which he gives me a high five. After playing a few games, we ate, and then left.

It was now nighttime and i take him to the park again. "Here again?" He asks me curiously and i nod as my plan comes into action. After he opened my door i started to feel a little nervous. 'Come on Rachel Hofstetter! You gotta go through with this!' I tell myself as we walk to the pond. I lay my phone on a tree stump so my viewers could watch. "So why did you all of a sudden want to go out?" Grey asks as we skip rocks. "Do you remember when we snuck out of our houses to skip rocks?" I ask him and he chuckles lightly. "Yeah we were grounded for two weeks." He says and i shake my head. "No. What did you say to me?" I ask him. "I don't remember." He says and i sigh. "Except that no matter where you are, and no matter who you become. I will always stay your bestfriend." He says and i punch his arm making him drop his stone. "You know that was-" I began. "Eighteen years ago, and i still mean it one hundred percent. You are my bestfriend Rae and nothing will ever change that." He tells me and i turn him to look at me. "Grey. I named myself after the Norse women that would choose who went to Valhalla with them. Will you be my Viking?" I ask and lean up to kiss him. I could feel him flinch and was about to pull away, but his arms wrapped gently around my waist, as he kissed me back. It was the best kiss of my life and the fact it was my bestfriend made it much more special. We finally ended the kiss, and he smiles at me before putting his forehead against mine. "I will gladly be your Viking Rachel." He says happily.

We arrived back at the apartment and i thanked everyone before ending the stream. "What now?" Grey asks and i smile. "Shitty romance movie?" I ask and he smiles. "I got the popcorn." He says and walks into the kitchen as i put on a movie. He walks back in and kisses me gently making me hum happily. "Oh my God!" I hear Janet yell. We both look at her as she takes a picture. "Imani guess what!" She yells and runs to Imani's room. "Hey!" I yell and chase after her as Grey chuckles at us. I knew from this moment on my life would be great no matter what.

-Well here is the next chapter. Rachel and Grey are now a couple, to those who think it is rushed. Their relationship was on the verge of dating since Highschool due to the flashbacks. There will be more complications down the road since Grey's PTSD is not gone. Will Rachel be able to make that dream come true? Or will it all crumble to dust? I don't know myself yet haha.
