Chapter 6: Study Date

Alvin's POV:

Time Skip: After Class

Class ended and everyone was dismissed. I walked out the door and looked for Levi. As I was walking around the school, looking for him, I accidentally bumped into Simon. Simon was accompanied by Theodore and the rest of the football team.

"Oh sorry man !" Simon said surprised, "I didn't see you there haha."

"Mhm yeah it's okay." I said, clearly not paying attention.

I tried to walk past him, but he pulled my arm.

"Where are you off to in such a hurry?"

"Well, I'm trying to find Levi, have you seen him?"

Simon looked annoyed and rolled his eyes.

"Why do you care where that shortie is??"

"I don't have to explain myself to you.."

He looked surprised and somewhat hurt by my response but didn't answer.

...

I sighed

"If you must know, I wanted to arrange a time Levi and I could hang out, since we are partners for the project."

"Oh..."

I could see his face drop.

...

"...Well see you later guys !"

I waved goodbye to the team and walk away.

I continued searching for Levi, but he was no where to be found !

I had been searching for so long, that it was passed school hours. The hallway lights were no longer being used and the only light, was coming from the window blinds.

As I walked through the dim hallway, I could see a faint shine coming from inside the library.

I stepped into the doorway and saw Levi. The boy was sitting, intensely hunched over a book.

"Hey !"

I waved to him from the doorway and he looked up from his book, startled.

"H-hello Alvin.."

He mumbled the words and quickly started reading again.

Wow he is awkward..

"Ahem.."

I cleared my throat, trying to get his attention.

"May I sit with you?"

Levi looked at me confused and scanned my face.

After a few seconds, he nodded and stared at me as I approached him.

Levi's POV:

I expected him to sit away from me, but to my surprise, he sat right next to me. The warmth I felt before, when Alvin came to comfort me, had come back. I didn't realize how much I missed the contact, until now...

"So.."

Alvin started,

"Wanna come over to my house on the weekend ?"

Alvin looked at me eagerly.

"Um.."

I avoided making eye contact with him.

"We could do the project and then hangout afterwards."

I could feel my cheeks warming up.

"U-um.."

"Hey are you okay ? You don't look so good."

I had to get out of this situation somehow.

"I cant ! I'm...busy ! Doing.."

Busy? I wasn't busy! How would I get out of this one.

"Doing..?"

He raised an eyebrow at me and I shrugged.

"I'm doing...stuff ?"

"Oh.."

Why did he look disappointed??

Ugh he was making me feel so guilty.

"But..."

I'm going to regret this.

"I'm free on the weekend.."

"Really ??"

Alvin's eyes lit up.

He dove into his backpack and snatched a pencil and paper.

Then, quickly wrote down on the paper.

"Well here's my address !"

Why was he so..excited??

"Um okay, see you then."

"It's a date !"

He winked as he prepared to leave.

A d-date ?!?

I didn't know how to respond, my face felt like it was on fire.

Was I...blushing?!?

I covered my face from Alvin and gave an awkward thumbs up as he dashed out of the room.

He closed the library door and left me staring in awe.

What the fuck just happened?
