Chapter 2: Embarrassment

TIME SKIP: Lunch

Levi's POV:

After leaving my classroom, I headed toward the cafeteria. People shoved passed me, trying to get to certain tables or meet up with friends.

Unlike everyone else, I don't have a best friend or even a friend group. I sit by myself at lunch, at a small table away from the crowd.

I grabbed a tray and waited in line for lunch. Since I was in such a rush this morning, I forgot to pack my lunch.

As I waited, I saw Alvin come through the door with the rest of the football team. They all piled in the cafeteria, shoving each other playfully but still very aggressively.

I must have been staring at Alvin for too long because one of his friends noticed, and just my luck, it was Simon. He was known for being one of the smartest football players, but also the rudest.

[IM SORRY SIMON 😭]

He strutted over to me and had little Theodore trail behind him. He stopped right in front of me and said as loud as he could

"What are you staring at freak?"

The whole school turned and stared at me. This was the most attention I have ever gotten, and I was not liking it.

"You seem to stare at Alvin a lot too." he cooed.

I felt all eyes on me including Alvin's.

What was he talking about ?!

I never realized how much I stared at Alvin. People were probably getting the wrong idea too.

I glanced at Simon "I don't stare at Alvin..."

I felt embarrassed, Simon could see this and used that to his advantage.

"Are you embarrassed??" he practically screamed, since I could hear his voice booming off the walls.

I felt so uncomfortable, it didn't help knowing that the whole student body was staring at me and my every move.

I was so overwhelmed that I ran past Simon and the football team, and out the door.
