Take the mask off when you talk to me.

- - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - -hyunjin was unamused as he watched how jeongin and felix fought for who get the food first.
"i'm your hyung show me some respect!" felix argued.
"hyung you're in my house! stop child abusing me!" jeongin said back in his defense. honestly the whole thing was dramatic and extra and completely unnecessary but hyunjin found himself entertained. this was the first time he saw the infamous felix so out of his shell. the boy is known to be quiet, lovable, and a game boy who didn't leave the house without his nintendo switch. right now though- it's a whole different person who got wrecked by food. right now, he was ready to sacrifice a friends (or two) to get a slice of beef on his plate.
hyunjin knew that jeongin was rather loud. the younger has proven many times that he's always up to party and creating chaos. so his competitiveness wasn't much of a surprise to him.
changbin, on the other hand, chose to stand on the side and quietly put kimchi fried rice on his plate. his face was wearing a content smile as he listened to the small argument. it seemed as if this right now was his safe space. that the atmosphere that was created was what he looked up to everyday and gave him a reason to live.
hyunjin couldn't quite understand, so he just concluded that he's simply overthinking.
"um- hyunjin, are you not hungry? do you not like kimchi rice?" surprisingly, felixs voice ringed through his head as he snapped out and realized, that everyone's eyes were on him. felix already had a few pieces of beef on his plate, while jeongin was behind him still putting some on. as it turns out, felix did end up winning the fight.
hyunjin shook his head lightly. "i'm just waiting for everyone to be done."
felix looked at him weirdly with a questionable glance. did he know something hyunjin didnt?
before hyunjin could ask, changbin already walked past them as he lightly wrapped his hand around felixs shoulder. "you clearly never had a group of guy friends." he said as felix gasped and nudged him in the ribs whispering 'don't be rude!'
changbin just looked up at him with a pained expression and his lips turned into a pout. "but it's true! otherwise he would know that if he waits for everyone he won't get any for himself." and true enough, as hyunjin looked behind at the rice pan and beef plate there was barely to no food left on them.
"it's ok i will just eat at home." hyunjin shrugged simply, but regretted the moment he did as he saw all 5 boys glare at him ready to take him to the court.
"listen up, hong hyunjin-" minho starts.
"it's hwang." hyunjin corrected but got ignored as the elder rolled his eyes.
"-food tastes better when eaten with friends!"
"especially if it's also made by one!" jeongin kicked in and it seemed like an invitation for everyone else to join.
"so you not eating minho hyungs food with us-" changbin started.
"-will be the biggest form of disrespect." felix butted in.
"so shut up and eat." jisung said at last as he handed hyunjin a plate. hyunjin was surprised, you could see it on his face. with his eyes as wide as quarters and cheeks pink with embarrassment he accepted the plate that had a fair amount of rice on it with two small slices of beef. turns out everyone had given up a spoon of their rice so that hyunjin had something to eat with them and jeongin with felix have up a piece of meat each. hyunjin almost sang feel special by twice because the generosity of the boys took a toll on him. a nice one though.
