Nothing is more real than the masks we make to show each other who we are.

8:19 a.m.

that was the time when jeongins alarm started blaring through the space of his quiet apartment. the sudden noise was enough to wake him up, and probably all of his neighbors as well.

a lot of groaning -as well as cussing- could be heard as his body couldn't stop squirming and rolling around in the soft bed. finally his thin pale hand reached out for his phone and turned the alarm off.

"fucking hell its 8:20." he grunted in his still rusty, sleep deprived voice. "and it's also a saturday. why am i up this early?"

he looked around his barely lit room, searching for clues. jeongin was a very confused child in the mornings. he could be the one planning a trip in the evening, and not remember what was going on the next day. so to ease his life, he puts clues around his room to remind him of his plans.

scanning through his room, he sees that on a chair there sat a pair of neatly folded white pants with one of his favorite dress shirts hanging off a metal hanger next to them. one half of the shirt was of a baby blue color, while the other one was pastel pink. the outfit looked like something he would wear going out, rather than a school outfit.

on his night stand, there was his favorite camera; completely clean and unscratched. a sticky note with a bold '11:30!' was right next to it.

suddenly, a more clear picture started forming in his head. the camera, the outfit, the time. it all started to make sense in his dense brain.

"aish, i really had to arrange a meeting this early, huh?"

"yes, otherwise you won't get good lighting. now get up and get going." a voice he knew oh so well called him from the door. jeongin rolled his eyes, not at all surprised that he didn't notice someone opening the door to his room and walking in.

"shush it minho. i know what i'm doing." he said as he got up from his bed. minho shamelessly checking the beauty out as he stood in boxers only. "stop eye-raping me."

"i would never." he laughed, and walked closer to jeongin. "you have been working out your hands more lately." he said as his hands traced all of the muscles on jeongins arms. in frustration, jeongin yanked his arm away from minho's hand as he walked out of the room and straight into the bathroom.

shaking his head lightly with a smile, minho took it upon himself to clean the youngers room and prepare him a small breakfast to eat. he would never admit it, but taking care of the small boy was something he have found quite endearing and it definitely filled his bland days with more color. if only he got a cat this would've been perfect.

jeongin was never the one to rush things, which is why he preferred to get up early instead of sleeping in on a day like this. lazily, and extremely slowly, he put on the outfit he chose the other night. he was going for a soft boy look that would perfectly match his bright personality that he showed when he was around people. adding some golden accessories to finish his look, he grabbed the camera along with his wallet and keys.

"minho, you stinky cat fur, i'm leaving!" he yelled as he exited his apartment. the cafe in which him and hyunjin planned to meet in was the one where they originally met for the first time. the one where hyunjin was on the verge of getting food poisoned by a very bad employee if it wasn't for jeongin saving his taste buds.

the clock read 11:32 a.m. when jeongin entered the cafe. a smile spreading through his face as he saw the nice manager. ever since the accident he have been giving jeongin free coffee every other day he visited the cafe, plus discounts on sweets.
