Chapter 3

Later that same day
Satoru's pov
What I saw shocked me. Before my very eyes was my mother lying in a pool of blood. What happened. "Mother, wake up. You must be playing some sick joke on me," I said as I turned the body of my mother. But when I turned her there, it was. There was a knife lunged into her side.

I jumped from the shock and turned my head and looked at my blood-stained hand. Who would do such a thing? "Aghhh!!!" I heard the screams of my neighbor. She immediately grasped the phone and called the police. Moments later, the police showed up at my door.

They approached me, but I was frozen in place. When I realized my situation, I ran, but after I started running, I had a 'revival.' I felt shorter for some reason. I stopped and looked down. This body. . . I recognize it from somewhere. I look up, and there was one of my elementary school friends who was in my class. "Hurry up, Satoru!!"

I hurried and followed Kazu into the class. I was asked to take a seat, but I don't exactly. So I accidentally ended up taking a seat in kayo seat. Kayo Hinazuki was one of the victims, as well as Lee. "Alright, class we will be taking attendance now. Asuna, Abiko, . . ." and with each name that was called, someone responded with a here. Now that class was done, and it was lunch break, I got up from my chair. "What's wrong?" my friend Kenya asked. "My head kinda hurts. I'm going to go see the nurse," I said as I grabbed my bag. "Then why are you bringing your backpack." I just stood there, silent. "Don't worry about it, and I won't tell the teacher." I thanked my friend and ran out of the classroom and out the front doors of the school. As I ran out of the school, I caught a glimpse of Kayo and Lee heading towards the school's front doors.
