We arrived to the beach and went to an area that was blocked off for us. There were drinks food, shade tents. It seemed like a dream. I remember reading somewhere A girl told the other she didn't want to dream/wish to do what she had always dreamed of doing. She had asked "How do I stop dreaming" the other replied "To live the dream". I would always dream of being an actress, and was told I would be a great actress when I was little and I was even promised by my birth parents that I would be able to preform and act in small things then go bigger. I never got to. They always could make promises easily. But they could break them just as easy. I learned to not follow my dreams and live in reality until I saw that quote. I decided to live my dream.
A group of guys whistled at me making me feel unconformable. Okay I am not used to a big group of guys whistling to me only maybe one. Charlie saw my discomfort and put an arm around me as if we were dating.
"What are you doing?!" I asked about to remove his hand.
"Trust me." He said picking a flower. "Pretend you adore this flower." he said stepping closer to me.
"It is gorgeous" I said looking at his eyes and smiled. I knew what he was doing now. I hugged him. "Thank you." I whispered.
"Your welcome." I held out my hand for him to take and he did. We walked up the the rest of our group and those guys walked away not looking back.
"How did you-"
"Im a guy. I had an idea of what they were thinking about and how to stop it." I guess we were still holding hands because the three of them looked at us then our hands. We let go and I put a bit of distance between us.
"we were just... Charlie was helping me with a situation." I said.
"Ahhh" Owen said dropping it "Kenny isn't here yet so we should start"
Okay, this guy is obviously not a fun sponge because of his hobby, PRANKING people, but he was trying to do a job with out fun.
"Come on! We can sing and play at the same time!" I said walking into the shore with my bikini on. Wearing a bikini is different. Everybody is walking around and guys don't have time to whistle at every girl or there lips would get dry. Plus at that moment the only people I thought was looking at me was, Charlie, Owen, Jeremy, and Mads. And they don't want what other guys want.
"Kayla, I'm not sure this is a good idea." Jeremy said. I know the guys are older than me, but live a little!
"Charlie? Can you tell her to put her clothes back on and to come back over here so we can sing? CHARLIE!" Mads asked him. He looked at me then back at them. He took off his shirt.
We can have some fun. Why would Kenny take us to the beach, and not expect us to have some fun." Charlie came up to me and splashed water at me.
"Come on guys! We can work too! We'll sing! To work our voices!"
Jeremy then Mads came.
"Owen come on!" I walked up to him "Come on bro, We can also sing. I promise it won't be just play!"
" I believe you. I'm just a bit nervous about singing. I'm not sure why Kenny let me get a role."
"Owen, we are all friends here, I'm pretty sure. If not now, I know we all will be later on. I know we all just met yesterday, but no one here will judge you. Kenny chose you, because he saw potential and how you are. We were there at auditions! We heard you sing! You are AMAZING! So let's go sing." I took his hand and we joined them. We sang for about 15 minutes while playing then we all decided to go out of the water and sing.
