Mia stared out the huge windows of Aidan's and Kale modern style luxury penthouse apartment. She had finished her presentations and stood up to stretch her muscles and enjoy the view. The colorful city lights twinkled and winked at her in the dark sky. It was as close as she could get to seeing stars since the fog covered the sky at night.

Aidan had ordered Chinese and spread it out on the table like a small buffet. He'd ordered all her favorites like he promised. It was enough to feed ten people. They hadn't said much about her unusual breakdown and she was grateful for it. However, they were very careful with her, as if she would break if they did or said the wrong thing. One moment of weakness and they were treating her like she was a baby. She had ignored them and busied herself with her work.

They sat at the table with their laptops and typed away, making phone calls and even having a teleconference overseas. She was amazed how hard the guys could work. Sometimes they didn't go to sleep until three a.m.

"What are you thinking about Mia?" Aidan asked softly startling her from her thoughts.

She turned to him. He and Kale had stopped working and sat there staring at her curiously. Aidan gave her a warm knowing smile and Mia remembered how he'd described her in the car. She could feel her cheeks warming up.

"Nothing, I was just enjoying the view, like usual," she smiled at him.

Kale dark eyes slowly slid down her body before coming back up to her face. "So were we..."

Mia stopped herself from shivering visibly in front of him. If he hadn't been across the room, she'd sworn he'd just caressed her body with his hands. "I finished the presentations if you want to look at them."

Aidan hopped up eagerly to see the work she'd done. Mia watched him sit down in front of the laptop she'd been working on. Kale leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his head and winked at her flirtatiously. He was such a devil, a good-looking, muscle-bound one at that.

"Mia, you've done it again. How do you manage to be so detailed and creative? Seriously, I couldn't do it. Kale you've got to see this."

"I already know her work is perfect," Kale said.

Mia smiled at the compliments. One of the reasons why she worked so hard was so she could bask in their pleasure; especially Aidan's who seemed to love everything she did. "I'm glad you like it." She looked at the clock on the wall. "It's only ten. Do I get to go home or am I spending the night?"

"It's too late to drive you home," Kale said.

"It is not!" Mia said crossing her arms.

"We'd hope you'd spend the night," Aidan said turning to her.

It wasn't the first time she'd slept at their apartment and their house. She had gotten quite comfortable with it before, when she thought they were only friends, but now things had changed between them.

"Oh stop looking as if we're planning to seduce you tonight," Kale said irritated at her wide-eyed expression. "We like having you around."

"You belong here, you know," Aidan said staring at her with those beautiful light blue eyes. "This is your place as well as ours, so is our home in sea cliff. Why do you think we gave you keys?"

"I just thought it was because we were friends," Mia said.

Kale laughed. "You can be so innocent sometimes, but we wanted you to think that way for the time being."

"But you never used those keys. You only came by when you knew we were around," Aidan stood up and walked over to her. "Why is that?"

"I have my own place..." Mia said.
