Charlie's POV

Wren and I were jumping to the music with all of our friends on the dance floor with drinks in hand. She turned to dance with her friends and I was yelling out the lyrics to Low  with the guys. Wren stumbled backwards and started dancing against me so naturally, I wrapped my arms around her waist and we moved to the beat.

"Having fun?" I yelled into her ear. She turned so that we were face to face and nodded her head as she placed her arms around my neck and rested her head against my chest. She suddenly jerked backwards and pulled away from me. Shit. What did I do? I thought to myself.

"I gotta go to the bathroom, I'll be back," she said into my ear as she ran away, dragging Sophia behind her. I watched them walk away towards the bar and stop at the stools where Aven and Amelie were standing. I hit the guys' backs to get their attention and motioned towards the bar where the girls were and we started walking towards them.

"SHOTS ON ME!" I heard Aven scream as we approached the bar.

"Count us in," I said casually, walking up behind Wren and putting my arms around her. "How come you disappeared?" I whispered into her ear. To my surprise, she ignored my question and broke away from my arms to grab a shot glass from the bar.

"To Sophia!" she yelled as she held her shot in the air.

"To Sophia!" we all chanted back as we downed the tequila shots. There was a tap on my shoulder and I turned to find a blonde girl standing there with wide eyes.

"OMG, Charlie Gillespie! We're such big fans!" she said with a smile, motioning to her friend group standing behind her at a table. "Can we get a picture?" I chuckled and hit Owen on the shoulder to get his attention. He nodded his head and looked around for Jer who was talking with Sophia.

"Hey! Yes of course, lead the way," I said following the girl towards the table of squealing girls. "Hey everyone, it's so nice to meet you!" I said with a big smile. The girls asked us about season 2 and if we were planning on touring, basically all of the questions we couldn't answer. Owen offered to buy them a round of drinks as we stood and talked but I found myself looking around for Wren, who had disappeared from her stool at the bar. Jer, Owen and I walked back to the bar where Aven and Amelie were and ordered ourselves another round.

"Hey, where'd Wren go?" I asked Aven, who gave me a subtle shrug as she took a sip of the mojito in her hand. I looked around and noticed that Sophia had disappeared as well. Out of nowhere, there was a shrill scream that echoed over the music,  followed by someone yelling for help. I turned and walked to the ledge overlooking the dance floor, frantically trying to find where the commotion was coming from. I noticed a bit of a divide in the crowd and caught a glimpse of a girl laying on the floor, her dress shimmering under the coloured lights. Owen caught me staring at the girl and stepped up beside me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Go help her," he said without hesitation. I ran down the stairs towards the girl, Owen and Jer following closely behind, and it became more surreal as I saw her laying unconscious on the floor. I dropped to the floor beside a sobbing Sophia, as she yelled out to the people surrounding them for help; they all stood motionless, unsure of what to do

"Soph," I said calmly, placing a hand on her shoulder to help calm her down. She turned to me with tears streaming down her face and crumbled into my arms. I wrapped my arms around her and whispered into her ear, "I'll help her, I promise," I said as Owen came to her side and helped her over to the nearby table. "Can I get some water over here?" I yelled over the chatter amongst the crowded dance floor, as picked her up and moved her to the bench beside where Owen and Sophia were sitting. One of the bartenders rushed over with a glass of water and placed it on the table in front of me.

"I can't believe this is happening," Sophia sobbed to Owen. "I- it's all my fault!" He pulled her into his arms, stroking her back and assuring her it wasn't her fault. I looked down at Wren laying in my lap and moved the piece of hair that was covering her eye. Shit, she hit her eye. I inspected the cut on her eyebrow and at the red bump just beneath her eye. That's definitely going to hurt tomorrow.  I noticed her eyes starting to flutter and she slowly opened her eyes, her entire body tensing up; she looked very confused, almost as if she was trying to figure out who I was.

"Where-" she started to say but instead, her hand shot up to her eye as she winced in pain.

"Wren, it's okay, you're okay," I assured her as I pulled her closer to me. I noticed the corners of her mouth tug into a smile and felt her relax. I looked to Owen for what to do next and he motioned to Sophia, who was already on the phone with the paramedics. Wren woke up again once the paramedics arrived and they checked all of her vitals and determined that medically she was fine, just a little cut and bruised. She fell back asleep in my arms as I carried her out the doors of the club and placed her in the Uber with Sophia, Aven and Amelie.

"Thank you guys so much," Sophia said as she grabbed Wren's bag from Owen. "I really can't thank you enough for tonight."

"It was nothing," I said with a smile. "I'm glad we could help." I closed the car door and they drove away into the buzzing downtown streets. I sat down on the curb and watched as they drove out of sight, wondering if I would ever see her again.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jer asked as he and Owen took a seat next to me on the curb. They both were staring at me with concerned looks.

"Yeah man, don't worry I'll be fine," I replied, shrugging. "I'm just kinda bummed that I may never see her," I said playing with the rock under my shoe. It was weird how spending one night with a girl could feel so life changing and it didn't feel right that we would never meet again. "Hey, I'm actually going to head back to the apartment and call it a night. You guys go have fun though and I'll see you in the morning," I said as I got up to head back to Owen and my place that was only a few blocks away.

"Okay, see you on set!" Jer said as the two of them went back into the nightclub.

I walked into the apartment, threw my keys onto the table and flopped onto the couch. I pulled out my phone and noticed that I had been tagged on someone's post by hundreds, maybe even thousands of people, some people had even DM'd me about it. I clicked on one of the notifications and it took me to the post that was blowing up; it was in that moment that I knew exactly how I would get to see Wren Mercer again.
