I walked into the kitchen to find Amelie pouring everyone mimosas and Dani standing at the stove making french toast. Sophia was the first to notice me and ran up to me squeaking with excitement.
"Ahhh how did it go? What did he say? What did you say?" she said gasping for air after her numerous amount of questions.
"Soph, take a deep breath and slow down," I said, laughing at her as she tried to catch her breath. "He just wanted to make sure I was okay after last night and he may or may not have invited me out tonight," I said as I grabbed the mimosa that Amelie was holding out for me and took a sip. They all stopped what they were doing and stared at me with all of their jaws dropped, none of them knowing what to say. "So, are we ready for our spa day?" I asked, completely ignoring their reactions to my conversation with Charlie.
"Of course, we were just waiting for you two to stop flirting," Sophia teased. I rolled my eyes and went into my bedroom to change into my robe to walk down to the spa.
"I'll meet you guys there!" I called out from my room. I heard footsteps passing by room, followed by the door closing behind them. I pulled my phone out of my robe pockets and scrolled through to find Charlie in my contacts and laughed when I saw the contact name he chose.

see you soon MercerI walked through the glass doors to the spa and met up with the girls for our massages. We spent the rest of the afternoon lounging around in the mud baths, getting facials and talking about the wedding. I was trying to keep up with everything the girls were talking about but my mind kept wandering to my "date" with Charlie tonight. After our relaxing day at the spa, we headed back to the room and Aven read out the room service menu for everyone to decide on dinner
"Are you guys sure it's okay that I go out for a few hours?" I asked everyone. I felt so guilty for ditching them when we were here to celebrate Sophia's bachelorette party.
"Yes! You deserve it Wren," Sophia encouraged. "Go have some fun, but promise me you won't hurt yourself again," she said with a concerned look on her face.
"I promise," I replied, sticking my pinky out and locking it with hers. I walked into my room and rifled through my suitcase, pulling out a white, cropped long sleeve and my favourite blue jeans. I paired it with a long, tan jacket that I stole out of Sophia's bag and my white air force 1s. I was just touching up my makeup when my phone buzzed. I saw Charlie's name light up on the screen and the feeling of butterflies returned to my stomach as I picked up the phone to reply.

hey, i'm sitting outside the
lobby.. look for the orange subaruwren🦋
coming!"I'm heading out now!" I called out as I opened the door and stepped into the hall. There was some squealing and a muffled voice yelling after me, but I was already walking through the hallway to the elevator. I walked through the revolving door in the lobby and stepped into the cool Vancouver weather. I looked around and spotted Charlie leaning against his car, scrolling through his phone. As I walked towards him, he looked up from his phone and a big smile spread across his face. He looked so cute in
"Damn, looking good Mercer," he said as he put his phone into his pocket and opening the car door for me. I blushed and of course, thanked him. "So where are we headed?" he asked as we pulled out of the hotel.
"I thought we could do dinner and dessert in the same place and get fondue," I replied, hoping he would be okay with my choice. "There's a cute restaurant called Burgoo Bistro that I've heard has the most amazing comfort food" I looked over at him waiting for a reaction and to my surprise, his face lit up with excitement.
"Someone was actually just telling me about that place, it sounds amazing," he said with a grin. I looked up the directions and it was only a ten minute drive from where I was staying. The restaurant was so cute and I seriously wanted to order everything on the menu. We ended up sharing two different types of cheese fondue and ordered chocolate fondue for dessert. We just spent the night getting to know each other better; he asked me what I did for work and what a normal day would look like for me and then we talked a bit about what it was like filming for him. Charlie insisted that he pay for dinner even though I felt bad and offered to pay half. We walked back to the car and headed back to the hotel.
"Thanks so much for tonight, I had a lot of fun," I said looking over at him. "It was a great way to end a rough weekend," I said through a giggle.
"I'm glad you agreed to spend a night out with me," he replied with smirk. "I thought you were going to shoot me down. I was preparing for the worst."
"As if," I answered, rolling my eyes at him and giving him a playful punch to the shoulder. "You knew exactly what I was going say." He looked over at me with a guilty smile and chuckled.
"Low blow, Mercer but you caught me. So what are the chances you want to go out with me again tomorrow?" he asked.
"We actually have an appointment at Blush Bridal to try on our bridesmaid dresses and then we're heading home," I explained. I watched the disappointment spread across his face as we pulled into the hotel. "I'm back to work on Monday but I'm on days, so maybe we can plan something at night!" I said and the smile returned to his face, once again showing off his dimples.
"It's a date," he said with a wink. The man running the valet walked over to my door and helped me out of the car. I waved to Charlie as he drove away and started to walk inside, pulling my phone out of my purse as I got into the elevator.

10 instagram notificationsOh my god, I was only gone for a couple of hours and somehow everyone wanted to know what I was doing. I held my room key up to the door and waited for the little click to find everyone lounging on the couches watching Clueless. Aven was the first to turn and notice me walking in and reached for there remote to pause the movie.
"Bitch, you better start talking," she screamed at me. "All I've heard the last few hours is Dani and Amelie complaining that they miss their boyfriends," she said rolling her eyes and laughing. Amelie shot her a look and threw a handful of popcorn in Aven's direction. I laughed and sat down in the empty spot beside Sophia, pulling the blanket onto my legs. We talked and laughed all night while sipping on wine and picking away at a charcuterie board, not realizing we had stayed up all night and that the sun was starting to rise. Our dress appointment was at ten and it was currently six, so a few of the girls decided to sleep for a couple hours. They all disappeared into their rooms, while Soph and I stayed on the couch to watch reruns of Criminal Minds.
"You know, I haven't seen you this happy in a long time," Sophia said to me, nudging my shoulder. "Although, I am surprised your nasty black eye didn't scare him away," she said, bursting into laughter. I grabbed the pillow beside me and smacked her with it as I laughed among with her. I rested my head on her shoulder and sighed.
"There's something about him that makes me so happy," I whispered to her. "He really might be the one."
