I woke up to the sound of the birds chirping outside of the hotel as I slowly opened my eyes. My head was still pounding and I could barely open my left eye without it throbbing. I reached over and grabbed my sweatshirt that was sitting on the chair beside the bed and brought it with me. As I walked to the bathroom to get ready, I tried to piece everything that had happened last night together but I could only remember small parts. The last thing I remembered was being in Charlie's arms as he walked through the silence across the club. How embarrassing. I never drank that much but the jealousy took control last night and to make matters worse, it was over a guy I barely know.

As I stood in front of the mirror, I inspected my eye that had developed a dark blue and black ring around it. My hand moved up my cheek towards my eye to feel it, causing me to wince at the sharp pain. There were also a few cuts near my eyebrow and some bruises surrounding my left shoulder, which I'm assuming is the arm that broke my fall. I traced the bruises that were on my arm and pulled my sweatshirt over my head to cover up the markings. There was a soft knock on my door and it was slowly pushed open.

"Wren? Are you awake?" Sophia whispered as she walked in the room. She noticed I wasn't laying in bed and walked into the bathroom where I was standing, looking at the cuts and bruises spread across my face. "Oh hun, don't worry it's not as bad as it looks." I let out a whimper and covered my face to hide the tears.

"Do you have any advil?" I asked as my head continued to pound. It still felt like the whole room was spinning but at least I knew where I was. She nodded and let out a giggle. "What?" I asked, totally confused as to what was so funny.

"I have a surprise for you, get dressed and come out to the kitchen!" she said as she spun on her heel and walked out of my room, closing the door behind her. That was weird. I pulled on some sweatpants and threw my hair into a bun before heading out to the kitchen.

"Soph?" I started, as I turned the corner to see the girls standing around the island and the backs of three guys sitting on the stools. Everyone turned  around to look at me and I locked eyes with the one sitting in the middle. No way. Charlie Gillespie was sitting in my kitchen, well in my hotel room, but still. My eyes shot from him to Sophia to Owen and Jeremy sitting on either side of him before finding their way back to him.

"WREN!" Owen and Jeremy yelled, causing me to wince from the loud, abrupt noise and hold my head. Charlie smacked them and got off his stool, making his way towards me with a glass of water and an advil that Amelie had just passed him.

"Hey," he said casually. "How you doin'?" he said with a smirk as he handed me the glass. I giggled and took the water from him, quickly downing the advil to help with my headache and throbbing eye. I froze when I realized that I looked like absolute shit and looked towards Sophia for what to do next, but she was too busy talking with Owen and Jeremy. "Can we talk?" he asked, motioning towards the other room. I nodded and led him out to our balcony, taking a seat on the couch and placing my drink on the table beside me.

"W-what are you doing here?" I asked, still in utter disbelief that he had come to my hotel room. He looked at me with a big smile on his face and laughed.

"Damn you don't seem very excited to see me, Mercer," he said with a smirk. My stomach fluttered at the sound of him calling me by my last name; more importantly, he actually remembered my last name? He reached over and put his hand on my leg, just like he had done at the club. "I wanted to make sure you were alright after last night," he continued, as a concerned look spread across his face. "I know we just met, but I knew I had to see you again."

"That means a lot," I said as I placed my hand on his, assuring him that I was okay. "It's just a few cuts and bruises and one major hangover," I said, letting out a laugh.
