Save Me

Save me from this coldness,

this darkness around me.

From this fear engulfing me,

Silencing all my screams.

Save me from these knives,

stabbing me in my chest.

From the slashes of their wounds,

Given by those whom i love.

Save me from those cold,

dead eyes staring back at me.

Whenever I look in the mirror,

'Cause it's all that I see.

Save me from myself,

from this pain I give myself.

That is worse than any they have given,

worse than any punch or jab at me.

Save me from life,

and the misery it causes.

'Cause I can't save myself,

for it brings misery to others.

For when I smile,

they scream and make me frown.

And when I laugh and sing,

They just put me down.

Perhaps I shouldn't tell you to save me.

Instead I should tell you to let me go..
