Society

Society tells me to be myself,

then tells me to change.

Society tells me to worry about myself,

then tells me I'm being selfish and out of range.

Society tells me not to worry about what people think,

then makes fun of my hair and weight.

Society tells me it's okay to drink,

then it tells me that's what they hate.

Society tells me not to worry about size,

then it tells me that I'm too fat.

Society tells me to worry about guys,

then it tells me that I'm nothing they'll look at.

Society confuses all of us.

We soon forget who we are.

And now maybe you'll see me on a bus,

Or most likely in a bar.
