I'm training Lola again. Now that we blew up the bridge, it's only a matter of time before the grounders come. Which means Lola needs to be ready to defend herself.
We're interrupted by the screaming of a few kids. It's accompanied with a weird smell, like something's on fire. "What's going on?" Lola asks.
"Let's find out." I reply, taking her hand and pulling her with me.
We arrive at the meat tent, which is on fire now. I spot Octavia, who works in the meat tent. "Octavia, you okay?" I ask, running towards her.
She nods in response, still a little shaken up. Murphy starts fighting with this boy, but I'm not paying attention. How are we supposed to survive without food?
Octavia even asks it to her brother. "Bell, now what the hell are we gonna do? That was all the food."
She doesn't get a response. The only thing he does is shooting my sister a questionning look.
---
We're gonna go hunting. At least I am. Octavia isn't aloud to go from Bellamy and Lola isn't aloud to go from me. I take my bow and arrows and go inside the jumpship. I spot my sister there with Myles, this boy that I personally find very awkward.
I decide to go with her. "You ready to go?"
"I don't think so." She replies.
"Oh come on, you really wanna be alone with that guy?" I ask, gesturing towards that awkward boy.
"I told mom I'd look out for you. That means no hunting in the grounder filled woods."
I frown. "You've gotta stop talking to Bellamy. This is getting scary."
"Very funny." She sarcastically says.
"Oh come on, you can't even hunt."
"Maybe, but what I can do is bossing you around. You're staying here."
"Well, mom, luckily I'm good at not listening to you." I pick out a knife for her and hand it over. "Let's go."
---
We're walking through the woods, when I hear a noise. I signal for Clarke and Myles to be quiet, which they do. At least for a while, because apparently the boy can't shut up.
"What is it? One of those scaly panther things?"
I briefly see the animal appear and run away from the noise. I make the same motion with my hands again, while elaborating. "This means shut up. And it's a boar."
"Good, because that panther meat is nasty." He jokes.
Me and Clarke look and listen for an other animal, but the boy can't do it without talking. "I could eat a whole boar by myself, no joke. You know what the best part is of the boar? It's gonna sound gross."
We find some tracks, which I study. In the meantime, Clarke thankfully shushes the guy. "Myles, quiet for a second. What is it?"
The last part was directed at me, to which I turn my head a little in confusion. "These tracks."
"They're perfect." She realises.
"Too perfect." I correct her. My eyes widen when I realise what this means. "We're the ones being hunted."
Myles stands up, gun ready. "I don't see anything."
An arrow comes out of nowhere and hits him in the leg. Clarke goes towards her, but I stop her. "Clarke, come on. We got to leave him."
Then a grounder knocks Clarke on the head from behind her. I turn around and shoot an arrow at him, which he reflects with his bow. A grounder behind me uses this distraction to knock me on the head too.
