Chapter 5: The Full Moon

  A little redheaded, pale skinned, clear blue eyed baby girl sat on the porch of her home.

  Her big clear blue eyes stared at the full moon. Her father, a silver haired perm head, observed his little girl closely as she stared at the moon. He didn't feel like she was up to no good like she usually was, so he decided to look away for a second and check his unread messages.

  That was when he heard a little sniff from his little girl, panicked the older man frantically whipped his face to look at his little baby girl.

  "Kagura?! Are you okay?! What happened, sweetheart?! Did you hurt yourself?!" Gintoki fast crawled over gently to his daughter, worry shining in his eyes.

  "Papi... Why is the moon hurting me so much? I can feel my heart just clench!" little Kagura asked her papi, Gintoki.

"Maybe you miss someone?" he suggested to his daughter, a small smile gracing his lips as he gently picked up his daughter into his arms and cradles her softly.

  "Who?" Kagura asked, she felt her cheeks dampen. Panicked she quickly started to wipe her tears off of her chubby cheeks with her chubby little fists but they didn't stop at all no matter how hard she tried.

"Maybe... you just miss someone that haven't met yet," Gintoki stated to his little 5 year old daughter before cradling her closer to his chest and bringing her over to the bed that the father and daughter duo shared.

  Gintoki soothed his little baby girl as he gently sang her a small lullaby to help her sleep.

  He stared at the moon, wondering in his head, why he too, felt like he was missing someone just by looking at it...
