Epilogue

  Years passed since Kagura and Sougo met again in this new life. 

  They were rivals in high school and had many childish banters as they grew. They had seen each other in their worst moments and their greatest moments. From Kagura constantly going to court to defend Gintoki and protest that she wants to stay with him and not her real father, Kankou or even her older brother, Kamui, to her winning both the state kickboxing competition and the state gymnastics competition.

  Also, from Sougo constantly heading to the hospital to visit his sister to him winning the state kendo competition.

  When they started dating, Gintoki felt his heart fail him and his blood pressure soar higher than ever before, oh how thankful he was that he wasn't smoking any cancer sticks, because he was was sure that if he had lungs as weak as that then he wouldn't have been able to survive that.

  The same went down when Sougo asked for pemission to propose to Kagura.

  And also when Sougo asked Gintoki to confirm the marriage date.

  Also, when both Sougo and Kagura announced that Kagura was expecting their first child.

  And their second.

  Also, their third.

  Even the fourth.

  Almost died of a heart attack during the fifth.

  The sixth and Gintoki still had the same effect on him even shouting about whether or not they had planned to have this many kids.

  The seventh, his sugar was the one soaring this time.

  The eigth and he was still the same, though Kagura had forced him to control is sugar intake and made sure he took all of his medications.

  The ninth and he still almost lost his head.

  The last announcement was one about twins meaning they were the tenth and eleventh kids, Gintoki still hasn't lost his spirit to get high blood pressures and scare the hell out of all Kagura, Sougo and their kids.

  But even then, Gintoki enjoyed the company of all his grandchildren around him and playing with him, now he understood what Shoyo and Utsuro had meant when they said they felt lonely and insisted for both Gintoki and Kagura to stay with them.

  As Gintoki sat on the front porch of of his home and stared at the moon above, he wondered, since when had his little girl grown this much.

  "Papi!" came the shout of Ginko, teenage daughter after Kagura. Gintoki had married Tsyukoyo who was an old friend of his and also his highschool sweetheart that he reconnected with after moving back in with both of his fathers.

  "Sweetie, what's wrong?" Gintoki asked his daughter.

  "Can you tell me more stories about Kagura-neè?" Ginko urged her father.

  Kagura and Sougo did love nearby and Kagura did take care of Ginko before getting married off to Sougo but even then, Ginko loved to hear her older sister's childhood stories straight from her father.

  "Hmm... There's a full moon tonight. It reminds me of Kagura, you know? She always stared at the moon, whether it was full or not, then she would feel like she was missing someone...

  I once even spoke to a monk about this when it never stopped, the monk has said that she was the reincarnation of Kaguya hime-sama. Can you believe that? And she's also the reincarnation of the great Goddess of War, the Yato amanto, Kagura, who died in battle alongside the first division captain of the Shinsengumi, Okita Sougo.

  I couldn't believe that my sweet little Kagura had been someone so big in her last lives but I think that she enjoys this life more, the quiet life. The serene type of life, no blood, no partings, no royals and no gods and goddesses. Just her and her family," Gintoki said as his dead fish eyes never look away from the moon.

  "Papi... Do you think that maybe... Sougo-nii is the king that waited for Kaguya hime-sama to return?" Ginko asked.

  "Maybe he is. All I know is that they're soulmates, the heavens had fated that they were to marry each other no matter what, that's what the monk said when I got him to check their compatibility for each other," he replied.

  "Soulmates? I never really thought that it was a real thing," she said, lost in thought.

  "Neither did I, sweetie," Gintoki replied.

  "Papi! Mami!" Kagura called from the front gate, her eleven kids and husband in tow.

  Gintoki and Ginko sweatdropped at the sight. It looked like she had just brought all of the neighbourhood kids with her.

  But Gintoki loved her nonetheless, for she was the little girl that he took care of and loved endlessly no matter how much his world was falling into him and she protected him from the darkness that he would've fallen into.

  Kagura jumped into her father's arms and squeezed him into a hug.

  "Danna," the lazy drawl of greeting was what Gintoki got from Sougo.

  But unlike most times, Gintoki got a light hug from Sougo as well.

  Ah, that's right. They we're excited to see him since he was in the hospital for three weeks due to his terrible health.

  "Papi, you really should take care of yourself more! Just look at yourself, you look terrible! You still need to attend Ginko's wedding!" Kagura scolded her father as she sat by his feet and placed her head in his lap, looking at him with those clear blue eyes of her's.

  Gintoki softly caressed her vermillion headed hair that she had let down with only one ornament on the side of her head.

  "I'd rather not send off another one of my daughters, the first one was already traumatic. Much more since she was marrying a psycho sadist police officer," Gintoki deadpanned, dead fish eyes glaring at Sougo while his hand still caressed her hair.

  "Papi, don't be mean!" Ginko scolded this time as she too sat by the other side of his feet and laid her head on his lap too. Gintoki used his other hand to caress her head.

  "I told your mother to give me a son, but instead she gives me another daughter to send off! I don't want to send off my children anymore! I want to keep them with me!" Gintoki complained to his daughters.

  The little banters continued on. Sougo and Gintoki roasted each other and his two daughters scolded and comforted their father. Tsukki soon joined in the fun and the eleven kids were playing around with each.

  There was nothing more or less that they all could ask for than for hat moment to stop itself in time and be engraved there forever.

  This was find.

  No blood.

  No war.

  No crying.

  No deaths.

  Just perfectly serene.
