Chapter 5: Confuzzled

(Connor’s POV)

We were kissing! Just like I wanted. I was so happy she was kissing back. Suddenly she pulled away.

I realized what we were doing today. I just forgot.. Everything. I felt so bad..

“We’re over” she whispered and she walked away.

I watched her walk away. I wanted to bang my head against the wall for moving away. When I remembered all the bad memories.. From that night. I couldn’t hurt Krissy again. Why am I doing this again? I have to keep my distance. I didn’t want her to know what happened. We’ll just be friends.. Hopefully.. And take this kiss as a mistake.

(Krissy’s POV)

I walked away in utter confusion. What was going on? We’re over right? So why was he kissing me again? I know, I kissed back, but I was in a trance. He wasn’t… or was he? It was just a mistake, I thought to myself. Just a mistake. I can’t tell Riley about this.. yet.. 

I made it back to the forum and saw all the girls laughing as Riley half-panting-half laughing as she saw me.

I smiled. Riley looked at me and my wet uniform. She shook her head.

“I’m guessing he caught you?” She laughed.

I frowned, “Sadly..” 

“Whatever, revenge is always sweet.” She smiled. “Wait! I got both of you back! MUHAHA! I got Connor back from what he did to you, and you back because he got you soaked!” She did a little yay-clap thingy.

I shook my head smiling.

“Connor’s back?” Jaime asked curiously.

“Uhmm yea..” Riley said suspiciously. “Why does it matter to you?”

“It doesn’t, why is it so wrong to ask?” Jaime snapped.

Jaime could be a bitch sometimes. I rolled my eyes.

“He came back today.. I saw him like two minutes ago..” I said.

“So, you guys.. Like.. Kept in touch?” Jaime asked.

“Uh.. No..” I snapped. “I don’t care, we’re over..”

Jaime nodded her head. “Well looks like you need a new uniform.. I have an extra in my locker if you want it.” 

I smiled, “Thank YOU SOO MUCH!” 

I quickly changed into Jaime’s uniform and came out of the bathroom. This one fit perfectly, better than mine. 

I walked out to see Coach Kelly. 

“Let’s go stretch!! Up girls!” Coach Kelly instructed.

It was finally game time. We were out on the turf ground. Sitting on our bleachers. I was sitting next to Riley and Becca. It was really nice out today, no surprise there.. The weather varies about 30 degrees everyday. It was 70 degrees now.. In February! Which reminds me.. Shit! Valentine'1s Day Dance and Turnabout where coming up.. who am I going with.. and who am I going to ask?

I sat there talking to Becca as she told me about her boyfriend Brett Levy. He was a HAWTIEE!! He was an AMAZING soccer player. Brett and I are best friends.. Or so we say! I introduced Becca to Brett, and they are so cute together. They’ve been going out for a year now. Why can’t I have a sweet guy like Brett… My life sucks.. 

Right then Jaime came up to me. “Riley! Krissy! Becca! Football After Game Party is at Darren’s house, you guys coming? Win or Not!” She asked.

 I looked at Becca. I already finished my homework and today’s a Friday, so my parents wouldn’t mind.. 

“Yupp” I smiled.

“Riley, Becca?” I asked. Riley gave me a smile, “I have nothing better to do tonight, So FOH SHO!” 

“Can’t! I gotta date with Brettttt” She grinned mischievously.

Riley and I laughed. “We’re in, wanna come over to my house to get ready?” Riley asked Jaime and I.

“Sure! Meet ya guys at 8 then?” Jaime asked. 

“Kay..” Riley smiled.
