We step into Taehyung's house once we arrived.

"where's your mom?" I ask.

"probably in her bedroom. I've hired a maid to take care of her" Taehyung said as he leading me to his mom's bedroom.

"why you didn't ask me instead? I can take care of her, you know?" I frowning.

"it's not like that, baby. I don't want to troubling you since you have a lot things to do with your work" he said.

Then we reach to his mom's bedroom. I looked up, I see Taehyung's mom laid on her bed while a maid feeding her a porridge. It stabbed my heart to see how worse her condition just as Taehyung told me this morning.

Taehyung approached her and sit down on the bed next to her. "hello, mom. How are you feeling?" he ask in a very soothing way while he running his hand to stroke her hair.

He smiling at her to hiding the sadness he has been keeping of his mom's condition.

His mom turning his head to look at him after having her last spoon of porridge. "The soreness on my body keep bothering me but I'm still doing fine, sweetie. Don't worry about me" she smile at him back after weakly replied him.

Taehyung took a deep breath to hold back his tear, effortless to not crying in front her. "anyway, I bring someone here" he said.

"who is it?" she ask.

He pointing his index fingers at me. I come back to my sense and quickly wipe my tear away, not noticing myself has been crying while watching his mom.

His mom raised her head to look at me. "hello, sweetheart" she called me while patting the empty space next to her.

I heading close and take a seat next to her with a little smile on my face. "hello, mom" I greet, calling her "mom" as she told to.

She gently take my right hand, move her eyes down to the engaged ring I had. "I heard you getting proposed by my son. Congratulations, I was really hoping that you're the lucky woman that will be my son's wife and my daughter in law. Do you remember your promise?" she ask.

"of course. To not left Taehyung and take care of him very well. Love him with the bottom of my heart until my last breath" I reminiscing my promise I've told her 3 weeks ago.

Her smile grows when she see how well I remember the promise I keep for her.

"thank you so much.. He's my one and only child and I couldn't bearing to see him in pain... I don't want to see him being hurt like how I feel by my ex husband... I love my son with all my heart... I just want to see happiness for the rest of his life... I always saw how my son turn to be the happiest human being when there's you. So, I trust you're the one who deserves to give the whole happiness to him for the rest of his life..." she said, finally letting her tear rolled down.

My eyes instantly teared up as I heard those words that just escaped from her mouth. I looked up to see Taehyung lowered his head, silently crying after hearing his mom's word that touched his heart so bad.

I sobbed while wiping my tear away as I look back down to her. "that's my job as his lover, mom. I'll try to not upsetting you and do everything just to make him happy. Mom, I'm saying this with all my heart that I truly love him. He has give me the meaning of love and it's possible to leave someone who has changed my life from past to present" I said, gave out a reassuring smile to her.

"I'm honored by your honesty to us, sweetheart" she sweetly said, smiling at me back.

Afterwards, I lift up my head. Taehyung looked at me with full of love as he gently hold my hand, showed me his gently smile.
