I open my eyes, looking around at the white walls. My body is covered in a paper dress. My heartbeat accelerates as I look around. There are no doors. No windows. My breathing staggers as I pull myself to my feet. I slam into all of the padded walls. "HELP!" I screech, frantically breathing as my eyes begin to leak.
" Calm down Miss. You're safe and secure." A voice softly emits, I snap my head towards the speaker.
" Where is Dan?" I shakily ask. " Phil? Anna? Pj? Chris?"
" Miss, you've been in this facility for a little over a year." They explain, my stomach drops. " You're brain must've created an alternate universe- A self paradise if you will- to escape to when you got abused."
" No!" I panic, rubbing my arms. " I-I just saw Dan! We fell asleep and them Anna and Phil went back to Anna's place because Phil didn't want to hear anything he didn't want to!" I laugh nervously.
" Did said Anna and Phil tell you that?" She stares me down, I gasp sinking into myself.
"No." I return in a small voice.
" Don't worry. Our medical team at shady oaks is very professional. You'll forget about all of the trauma and hardships you've faces soon enough." With that, the speakers crackles off.
