I woke up before my mom could even wake me up because you know mothers always be in that bullshit thing.

I knew she was going to do some extra shit because it was Bronny and I's 17th birthday today.

October 6th 2005.

My parents claim it was the best date of their lives before my younger siblings were born.

Not even going to lie, I don't like Savannah, my mother.

She did a bunch of bull towards me whenever I was younger.

Of course, you're only going to figure that shit out later in the book.

I meant later, whenever I explain this to yall.

I always like to think my life is like a book or like a movie, although I would not like if someone took my life and made it a movie.

Not with all this bullshit I'm going through right now.

I could hear my phone just buzzing with notifications but my ringer wasn't on.

It was just buzzing on the nightstand.

I know I should probably be happy it's my 17th birthday and all but it's just depressing because my life is just getting shorter and shorter.

Shit that was sad as fuck lemme stop.

I heard my door open so I pretended to be asleep.

Didn't want to ruin my moms surprise, or whoever the fuck was at my door.

"Happy birthday" I heard small feminine voice.

I opened to see Zhuri with a cupcake and two small candles on it with some fire.

Mom lifted her up to go sit on my lap so I sat up straight so she could.

"Happy birthday Davine" my mother told me.

I just lightly smiled at her.

Zhuri gave me the cupcake in her hand for me to blow the candles.

"Make a wish" This girl is 13 years younger than me but gets more excited than me during my birthday.

I guess she's just enjoying my birthday for me I guess.

I smiled at her, and blew the candles making her clap.

My mom took Zhuri so that I could get myself ready for today.
