"Y/N, I just noticed you never call me by my first name" not really paying attention to the boy beside you scratch your head looking intently at the questions and numbers in front of you, when did they discuss this? Is this even for our grade level? How do I even solve this? Questions flooded your mind as you grow frustrated, you understand your subjects pretty well, you're just an average student who can actually get decent grades but this question was too hard for you, do college prep classes answer this kind of questions?

You being completely dazed by something was new for Hinata, he examined you for a while with so much admiration, your eyebrows knitted together, a pen on your chin, and a pouting lips- it was a perfect combination. Snapping his fingers in front of your face you arouse from your dreaming state.

Your head gives off a double shake while your eyes blinked "A-Ah yes Hinata?" you asked.

"Is there something wrong? You've been spacing a lot for the past 30 minutes you know?" he responded, curious, but not really concerned since he found you entertaining to watch.

You squinted your eyes "I'm having a hard time with this question" you admitted. He looked at you, surprised it was the first time he heard you having a hard time but before he could even say anything, you inserted another topic.

"Were you saying something earlier? I'm sorry I'm too focused"

He hummed happily while nodding his head "Hmm! I said I noticed that you never call me by my first name" he said bringing both of his arms on the back of his head, he lifted up his head a little more making the view of his jaw, chin, and neck more visible.

You once again spaced out, you noticed how the sleeves of his polo shirt slide down his biceps, it showed his toned arms- your eyes wandered a little more to his wrist where his veins are crystal clear. You gulped. Hinata noticed your stare so he gave himself a look, he curiously looked at his arms and hands, your eyes grew wide.

Crap he noticed!

"D-Do you want me to call you Shoyo?" you asked trying to avert his attention.

His eyes sparkled and you swear to God you saw literal sparkles on them, "Of course! I call you by your first name after all!" he beamed.

And so you nodded your head "Okay then, I'll call you... Shoyo starting today"

"Yay!" you silently chuckled at his excitement, little things make him that happy huh?

As usual, your day will always end at the gym, the team was now gathered on one side, the club adviser Takeda-sensei and Coach Ukai in front to announce something.

You noticed how tense they are right now, and it scared you. They were different, it was intimidating and dangerous. Even Shoyo, the boy who radiates so much energy, the ball of sunshine is scary. "W-What's happening Kiyoko-san?" you asked the girl beside you.

"Well, you see they lost to Aoba Johsai at inter-high, and the spring high will be their last chance to get to the Nationals so that explains why they were working so hard and why they look so dangerous right now" she replied, explaining things to you. 

You didn't understand some things from what she said but if there's one thing you know, it's that losing must suck so bad, especially for this team who's full of members that are striving so hard to get to the Nationals.

You remained quiet listening to Takeda sensei and coach Ukai's announcement, in your mind you were preparing the things you'll need for the training camp.

I'm pretty sure Keiji would freak the hell out.

"By the way, L/N, will you be okay there? This will be your first time so you don't have to force yourself to come" Takeda-sensei said and you saw how Tanaka and Nishinoya cried silently.

Right, you almost forgot that you're actually the team's 'baby' they take care of you so much especially the senpais since they know how you hate using your energy too much, and how you like to keep some spaces for yourself.

And of course, you never forget to say thank you to them every time, they've been respecting your decisions, there were even times when they let you be absent on practices. You've felt really guilty, you're not someone special yet they're easily letting you off the hook. But as much as you feel guilty, you really couldn't help it sometimes, your laziness still gets you and it's not like you could change right away, you're still adjusting. And them being the nice people they are, they help you do it. 

"But I think she's excited, she's whispering things for a while now like the things she'll need for the camp" of course it was Kageyama who blurted that shit out, his mouth got no breaks after all. Your face flushed red, you didn't know you were saying things out loud.

That was so embarrassing! What do I do now?!

Tanaka and Nishinoya's tears went away, while the rest of them looked at you with a shocked expression.

Shoyo quickly scolded him "Oi! Don't say that out loud, you're embarrassing Y/N!" he said and some other things such as how Kageyama's surprisingly dumb with girls.

You wanted to thank Shoyo for what he did, right now all you could think about is how you should smack Kageyama for pointing that out.

"This is why you'll never get yourself a girlfriend king, I can't believe Hinata's better at you at these things" Tsukishima triggered Kageyama's competitiveness, the three continued to bicker while you sat there awkwardly. It was a usual thing but to know that it started because of you, you became somewhat uncomfortable with the vibe you created. 

This is because of your weirdness Y/N! Ugh, you're so dumb and careless why are you even alive, you just keep on embarrassing yourself. 

"Uh, I'll be fine sensei" you answered confidently so they could change the topic, luckily Sugawara noticed your nervousness and embarrassment so he gave you a wink before speaking up.
