the odd shephard out

A young girl with dark brown shoulder length hair walked in to Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital looking for her older and only brother Derek.

The young girl came to a desk with nurses and doctors milling about, she tapped the shoulder of a tall towering figure infront of her, the figure turned round and the girl didnt even input who it was she just said her question.

"Hi i am looking for my brother Derek shephard i think hes the chief"

The girl noticed the terrified looks she was being given from the staff behind the desk  and she suddenly felt a ping of concern is there something she didnt know.

"Iggy" the figure standing infront beamed, embracing the young girl and swirling her around in the air, once she was put back down and thats when she suddenly realised who was infront of her Mark sloan, her brothers best friend who she considered her own brother.

"Mark" the young girl beamed back rrturning the embrace.
"Look at you no longer running around with a potty on your head" mark smiled
"Alright thats a story you can keep to your self" Isabella warned laughing.

"Im looking for Derek do you know where he is" she asked
"No but i know someone who will know, follow me, we can catch up while we walk" mark samiled as they walked away
"So what are you doing here?"
"Well im here for the week before i start college and mum told me that derek worked here and was the chief what a great big achievement that is i should congratulate him so thats what i am doing"
"College, have we got another Doctor shephard in the making " mark smirked as they turn a corner in to the ER.
"No" isabella laughed "have i ever followed my siblings"
"No thats why your my favourite"
"You say that to all of us"
"Yeah but to you i mean it"

"I am going to art school, please dont, i dont need the judgement i got that of my sisters that it wasnt a proper job and I should become a dr"
"Art school no that sounds amazing" mark smiled trying to cheer her up.

"Ahh meredith" Mark jumped grabbing one of the doctors but she wasnt in scrubs.
"I need to go mark what is it?" The doctor asked hurriedly
"This is iggy"
Isabella jumped in "Isabella, Isabella Shephard, dereks"
"Dereks youngest sister yes i have heard lots about you" the doctor smiled
"You have" Isabella asked confused.
"Im meredith"
"Oh if course you are sorry"
"Its fine"

"Do you know where derek is?" Isabella asked
"Yes i am actually going to him now, you know what why dont you come with me" meredith smiled
"That would be great"  isabella smiled excited.

"Well you and i need a better catch up Iggy" mark smield as he walked away.
