The strong smell of cologne, alcohol and coffee woke me, Chuck lay peacefully asleep beside me and I felt too bad to wake him from such a deep sleep. I slipped on last nights dress and crept out of his bedroom, my heels and phone in my hand, and I shut the door quietly.
"Morning, want a coffee?" A shirtless Nate came from the kitchen.
"Morning, uh i'm actually just gonna head home." I ran my hand through my hair attempting to move it into a better position.
"Oh yeah sure, is Chuck awake?" He asked.
"No, I'll call him later though." I put on my shoes.
"Okay, see you." He said and I got into the elevator. I got into the nearest car available and it took me home.
"Heyy how was the party?" Dan asked as soon as I entered.
"Hey. It was great. Where is everybody?" I looked around, nobody was here other than Dan.
"Uh, my dad and Lily went on a walk, Serena's at Blair's and Eric and Jenny are in their rooms." He replied.
"Oh, okay." I walked up to my room and got Dorota to run me a bath, tomorrow was Christmas eve and Chuck was coming to stay here which was exciting. After around 10 minutes in the bath, my phone rang.
"Good morning sleepy." I answered the phone immediately.
"How's my girl?" He said. I could tell he had just woke.
"I'm great. I didn't want to wake you this morning you looked so peaceful so I just crept out. How are you?" I smiled.
"I'm glad you're okay, I was worried you had ran off when I woke up. My mother agreed to meet me today, i'll come and see you after i've met her, tell you how it goes." He explained.
"That's.. great. I can't wait to hear all about it and don't worry I didn't run off, I just didn't want to worry anyone which I definitely didn't as nobody except Dan was in when I arrived home." I chuckled. Chuck had told me about him finding his mother and wanting to build a better relationship with her, and I supported him with it.
"See, you should of stayed then. I'll see you later." He said and I ended the call.
I spent most of the day at Blair's, Serena and Blair where both having a spa day and asked me to join, it was getting late and Serena had only just popped open a fine bottle of champagne then I got a message from dan. Dan 7:16pm Come home please, Chucks here and drunk. He needs you.
"Oh, I have to go, Chucks at home." I grabbed my things.
"Seriously? Leaving us for Chuck?" Blair laughed with Serena.
"I'm sorry, Dan said he needs me. I'll call you both later." I near enough ran out of the building.
Everyone was around the table playing board games, Lily spoke to me and told me what happened with Chuck as I came in. It broke my heart to hear that somebody has upset him.
He was sat on my bed when I came into my room and he looked up at me, his eyes hardly open.
"Chuck." I put my arms around him and his head fell into me, his arm grabbing onto mine as I held him tight. "I'm so sorry baby." I rubbed his hand.
"You don't need to be sorry, it's not your fault my mother wants nothing to do with me because of who I am." He sat up but I kept hold of his hands.
"That's not true, her choosing to not have you in her life was the most stupidest decision ever, and she doesn't deserve you for that." I struggled to explain why she would do such a thing.
"Like my father said, i'm weak. I'll never achieve anything and i'll never make anybody happy." He stood up and his mood changed quickly into anger.
"Are you kidding? Do you realise that nobody has ever made me feel the way you do and I'm terrified of the fact one day I might not have you in my life anymore? It terrifies me Chuck. You have made me the happiest person i've ever been." I teared up as I spoke.
"I'm sorry." He walked out and my heart sank. Maybe he just needed time. I climbed into my bed as a tear rolled down my face.
Everyone was still downstairs but I was falling asleep. I heard footsteps coming towards my bed and I turned around to see Chuck getting in. He cuddled into me.
"I'll never leave you." He said and kissed my cheek softly then got hold of my hand. I smiled and closed my eyes. I'm glad he came back.
