Missions

Ahsoka's POV

The next day I get called to the council room and I have a feeling it is the mission that the man told me about. Once I get to the council room I find out that I am going to an outer rim planet. We discovered massages of separatists planning to invade and take over the planet so they asked for our help. 

I will be going there and keeping the separatists from invading and taking over the planet. I am going to split my clones into two groups. Half of them will be with me on the planet surface and half of them will be in the atmosphere trying to prevent them from reaching the planet surface. We don't know how long this mission will last. It could last a few months, or it could last months. I was told to prepare for anything. 

After discussing the mission with the council I am excused to go and talk to my men and prepare for the mission. I leave in 2 hours so I hurry back to my quarters and grab whatever I will need. Just before I leave my room I notice a good luck charm the 501st made me when I lead part of a mission by my own for the first time. It was sitting on the table next to my couch. I walk over and pick it up. You know what, even thought I may not be their commander and I may not be Anakin's Padawan anymore, I will still take it. I have a feeling they still care about me. 

I just wasn't the right Padawan for Anakin but I know he still cares about me, besides all we went through together wasn't for nothing. I grab the charm and tie it to my belt, then walk out the door. I head towards where my clones barracks where. I hope they enjoyed their break because now we have a mission. I can only hope that they like me as their general and that we will work well together. Once I arrive I see that they are already packing up. They must have gotten informed about the mission already. 

Once they notice me they seem happy. The clones who had noticed me first are the ones that I had talked to during the time on Umbara. They salute to me and we talk for a minute. When I ask for their leading captain or the person who is now commander. His name is Sailor. We talk for a while and I decide to go and make sure our ships are ready. I leave Sailor to get the men in order and bring them down to the landing bay when they are ready. 

Once I reach the ships they are all ready so I choose one to ride into and I put my stuff down. We have decided to travel in several small ships, hoping that the separatists don't suspect anything. If we travel in a big cruiser we will most likely be spotted or discovered easier. 

I sense the clones arriving so I walk out of my ship and help Sailor split everyone into their groups for flying the ships. After everyone has boarded I get into my ship which Sailor and Jet, the best pilot out of the clones. Once the ship takes off Jet, Sailor, and I sit in the back and I pull up a Map of the planet. I guess we are going to Dantooine. 

I decide to put up our base just outside of Gaarang, a it's ruined capital. Jet tells me who the best pilots are and he chooses a few other's that make the half and half split even. That mean everyone else is on the ground with me. We have at least an hour before we get to Dantooine so Sailor and Jet go to the front of the ship, leaving me to think through things. I decide to have different posts set up around other cities that aren't too far from Garaang. 

After I finish deciding these things I sit back in my chair not knowing what else to do. I was used to hanging out with the 501st or Anakin to pass the time. I look to the side of me and see my holopad. I decide to look at some old videos I know I have on it. I go into the memory and find old training videos of Anakin and I. Most of them ended in us messing around. I saw others with me and the clones playing around and some of Obi-Wan, Anakin, and I doing things together. 

Then I saw a video that brought back so many memories. It was a video of when I found out one of my only friends in my Padawan class died. It was the worst day ever, especially since it was on my 17th birthday ( she is 19 ). It shows me first sitting on the couch quietly crying. Then Anakin, Obi-Wan, and the 501st burst in my room with a small cake for my birthday. They see me crying and rush over. It all ended up in a group hug and fives and echo eating the cake when we weren't looking. 

This memory brought tears to my eyes. I had never felt so loved then ever before on that day. Now it is all over. They still care, is all I could tell myself, even though it only made me wonder if they actually did. 

I feel the ship shake sightly, indicating that we are now coming out of hyperspace. I get up and walk to the front of the ship. I look and see Dantooine. I sit down and and wait for us to land. 

Once we do land I see that there is an old building right next to where we where going to set up base. The building is abandoned so I decide that we can just set up there. Once everyone is set up for the most part, we all gather around the holo table and I tell everyone that will be on the ground where they are going. Once everyone knows, they head to set up their bases at the separate spots we assigned. 

Jet takes all of the pilots and heads out to the planet's atmosphere. They do some quick scans and see that no ships are detected anywhere near so I relax slightly. The clones I assigned to stay at the base with me are finishing setting everything up. There isn't much left beside the main command center which I can set up by myself. I tell the clones to go and get some rest while I finish up the rest. 

Once I am done setting everything up I keep scans up and check in with the ground bases and all of the pilots. Everyone is set up and I don't feel to tired so I keep the scans up and just keep watch of everything. It is all calm and I don't really know what to do so I make sure I have the alerts on my communicator turned up so that when something happens I will know straight away. 

I head to a small room and lay down a mat for a makeshift bed. I set my bag in the corner and lay down on my bed, and after a few minutes I am able to fall asleep.
