My book is inspired by The Originals, with slight bits of The Vampire Diaries. Watching both shows will probably be the best in order to understand the story.

All rights go to the creator Julie Plec and both her shows (The Originals/The Vampire Diaries). I own nothing but the characters that have come from my own imagination.

Original Characters do not belong to me.

Like, move on, get you out my mind

But don't you think I haven't even tried

You got me cornered and my hands are tied

You got me so addicted to the drama

I tell myself I'm done with wicked games

But then I get so numb with all the laughter

That I forget about the pain

The crisp, fall air of the next day wasn't helping with the lack of sleep the previous night gave me.

You'd think that being in a place I'm not a huge fan of, like the damn bayou, would wake a person up -- the bugs, the muggy atmosphere.

But it clearly wasn't working.

My leather jacket tightly secured on my body, I was leaning against an abandoned wooden post, watching the scene transpire before me with a coffee in one hand and a doughnut in the other, bored.

A rifle positioned in front of her, Haley walked toward a tied-up Sabine, or rather Celeste, ripping the piece of tape that was plastered over her mouth.

"So, what's this, payback? Look, I'm sorry I tricked you. I wasn't after you." Celeste spoke, glancing over toward me. "Or you."

The werewolf Eve, held her rifle tighter in her hands, aiming it toward the woman. "What and they were just collateral damage? You almost burned them and Jackson alive in that plantation fire."

Taking a bite of the glazed doughnut, I watched Celeste roll her eyes, moving to stand up when a loud bang rang in my ears and echoed throughout the entire woods. I jumped, coffee spilling a little over my hands, my heart racing just slightly.
