My book is inspired by The Originals, with slight bits of The Vampire Diaries. Watching both shows will probably be the best in order to understand the story.

All rights go to the creator Julie Plec and both her shows (The Originals/The Vampire Diaries). I own nothing but the characters that have come from my own imagination.

Original Characters do not belong to me.

Blessed        Daniel Caesar

Don't wanna be anywhere

Any place that I can't feel you

I just wanna be near you

And yes, I'm a mess

But I'm blessed to be stuck with you, oh

Sometimes it gets unhealthy

We can't be by ourselves, we

Will always need each other

Mystic Falls, Virginia

"Bell, give it back you jerk!" I yelled, bounding down the hallway in a huff.

Nine a.m. was right around the corner, the leftover smell of dinner still drifting in the air. The spaghetti and meatballs continued to waver in my stomach, obviously not fully digested, but I kept running.

I watched as my brother roughly leaped down the stairs, causing the old hardwood to creak, his laugh echoing loudly.

Grumbling to myself as I reached the end of the stairwell, my eyes were blinded by anger, bumping into a pair of strong arms that wouldn't let me go.

"Give it back!" I exclaimed, trying to break free. "Dad, tell him to give it back to me."

"No way! Does Dad know you've been reading his grimoires?" He retorted back playfully, stopping on the other side of the room.

My dad's eyes darted to the book in Bellamy's hands and back towards me, a knowing look on his face.

I sighed shamefully, looking away. "I was just... looking at a few pages. It wasn't anything serious."

Truth was, it was more than a few pages.

More like most of the whole book. But I wasn't going to admit that out loud.
