My book is inspired by The Originals, with slight bits of The Vampire Diaries. Watching both shows will probably be the best in order to understand the story.

All rights go to the creator Julie Plec and both her shows (The Originals/The Vampire Diaries). I own nothing but the characters that have come from my own imagination.

Original Characters do not belong to me.

Cold Water Major Lazer & Justin Bieber

And if you feel you're sinking, I will jump right over

Into cold, cold water for you

And although time may take us into different places

I will still be patient with you

And I hope you know, I won't let go

I'll be your lifeline tonight

A growl sounded in the back of my throat as I flashed my canines at the group of dark clothed witches. Adrenaline rushed through my body as I started to vamp  speed toward them, attempting to have a bite of their neck, but a sharp pain suddenly seemed to hijack my brain, causing me to let out a wail.

"Se pou nou fe, sa yo dwe fe." The women chanted along with one another, aiming their power towards us, sending both me and Cami flying backwards. I landed on my chest with a hard thud, the coolness of the hardwood floor spreading against my skin.

"NO!" Davina screamed, her voice echoing throughout the church and ringing in my ears.

Almost instantly, the room seemed to start shaking, causing me to crack open my heavy eyelids. I watched as the young witch used her power to raise the group of women off their feet, throwing their necks to the side, resulting in a cracking sound, bodies dropping to the floor. The dizziness sort of wore off once the room stopped it's endless movement, my hand going up to my head as Davina turned around to look at me.

Gazing back at her for a few seconds, I slowly got up, crawling over to Cami, who was unconscious on the floor, to feel the pulse on her neck.

Still a heartbeat. Thank god.

"Are you ok?" Davina asked quietly from behind me.

Standing up to my feet, I adjusted my leather jacket, moving a few strands of my hair out of my face. "Besides the excruciating headache, I'm fine."
