Chapter 6

Myles' POV

*At the house*

"Hey sorry for that," I grabbed Skylars arm as she walked upstairs to her room.

"Leave me alone," she rolled her eyes and smacked my hand off of her her arm.

"I know you don't care about what I have to say, but just know I'm really really sorry," she looked up at me, its like she had sorrow in her eyes for 3 seconds then it turned into anger.

"K cool," she opened the door to her room and slammed it in my face.

"Ouch what did you do now?" Melonie asked while walking upstairs. Kalin followed her with a glass of water in his hand.

"I tried apologizing" I nodded my head "didn't turn out as I expected" I looked down and put my hands in my pockets. Maybe this whole being nice thing was a bad decision.

"Sorry," Melonie apologized to me and walked into Skylars room.

"Hey bro, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but Skylars not just gonna say 'oh it's okay, let's put everything in the past and start all over' she's not that typa girl". Kalin patted my back and walked into his room. I followed him.

"Hey do you think that me being nice to her was a bad decision?" I asked and laid on his bed, I stared at the ceiling waiting for a reply.

"No I don't think so, I think it's a step in the right direction"

"Then why do I feel so bad about it?" I frowned.

"It's not gonna be easy man, you had a bad start. You just have to slowly chip of the bad and replace it with the good you know?" he laughed and sat next to me on the bed.

"Yeah I guess..." I stared at the ceiling some more, till my eyes started getting heavy.

"Night bro." I let out before falling asleep.

Skylars POV

"Hey sorry for that," Myles said while grabbing my arm and turning me around.

"Leave me alone," I smacked his arm off of mine

"I know you don't care about what I have to say, but just know I'm really really sorry," it sounded so sincere...
"say it's okay"
"NO DON'T SAY ITS OKAY HES A BITCH TO YOU SKYLAR! DON'T FALL INTO HIS STUPID TRAPS!" I thought.

"K cool," I finally let out and ran into my room slamming the door in his face. What is his problem? Why all of a sudden he wants to act all nice to me? So many questions came running into my head then I heard Melonie say something to Myles.

"Ouch what did you do now?" I listened to Myles' reply

"I tried apologizing to her..." he trailed on "didn't turn out as I expected.."

What the heck man?! I'm so confused I sat down on my bed and started thinking about so many reasons on why he's acting nice to me then Melonie came into my room looking mad as hell.

"What is your problem?" she came storming into the room

"What?!"

"He's trying to apologize to you and you just ignore it?" I shrugged my shoulders and looked at the floor. "He looked so hurt," she shook her head in disappointment

"What do you expect me to do? Forgive him? Mel he was and still is a bitch to me, he always has been since I started going to Lincoln! I can't just forget about all the stuff he said to me and pretend like nothing happened" my blood was boiling "I thought you understood me?" I looked up at her and shook my head in disbelieve.

"No Skyyy, I do, I'm sorry, it's just that you should've seen Myles' face he looked so hurt I just feel really bad." she sat next to me and started hugging me.

"What he said made me hurt to" she sighed and hugged me tighter.

"Can you at least give him a chance? I mean he's not that bad..."

"I'll think about it," I said as I turned away from her

"Please Skylar, do it for Kalin, you know he doesn't want you guys fighting all the time.. especially now that they are making this music career a serious thing, he's gonna be around a lot more" she moved my shoulder so I was facing her "I know you like him" she smirked

"No I don't why would you think that?!" I snapped at her

"I know you more than you know yourself Skylar,"

"What are you talking about?"

"After the movies, when he was talking with Sabrina you made it like such a big deal" she laughed, I stared at her in confusion. "Well first of all, after he kissed her cheek you were like 'What the Hell?!'" she raised her voice at the end mimicking me.

"Well she's dating Chuck, I'm just looking out for Sabrina" I crossed my arms.

"But you don't like Sabrina,"

"Okay, I may not like her, but I'm just looking out for her!" Sabrina and I had that friendship where, you hate each other but at the same time you'll always be there for each other when you need them.

"Mhmm you weren't jealous?"

"Ew no, why would I be jealous?" I made a disgusted face.

"Whatever, I know you like him..."

"No I don't!" I raised my voice a little bit at her to prove my point.

"Hey, stop being mean!" she started laughing.

"....But will you?" Melonie asked me once we were ready to go to bed.

"Will I what?"

"Start being nice to him?" she looked me in the eye. I turned my head so I wasn't facing her I thought for a second....

"Sure why not," I shrugged my shoulders and got under the covers. Melonie got up from the bed and tuned off the lights.

"Goodnight Sky,"

"Night Mel"

I laid in bed thinking about what I just agreed to. Me being nice to Myles?! I laughed at myself. "Oh gosh Skylar, what are you doing?" I whispered to myself before drifting off to sleep.
