The scene was heart wrenching. Blood was leaking down from the windshield of the car to its hood. The once lifegiving fluid was now a symbol of nothing but horrors of death. With each passing second the terror of the scene was being transferred as some unknown energy into the three girls who became the spectators of the devastating sight.
Kyla: "What in the world has happened here!!"The question didn't remain unanswered for long as a pair of thin and wrinkled hands found their way up to the trunk of the car. The figure was now shown fully under the shade of the willow tree whose branches were swaying in the opposite direction as if trying to avoid any contact with the walking corpse.
Rose: "Get in the car fast!" she said while running for the back seat and pushing Kesley and Kyla towards it in the process. They got in as Rose narrowly escaped the zombie who found his hands clutching on to the free air. The engine roared as the car sped past the cafe, giving the girls only a second to look back at the frightful scene.
Rose:"Isn't it strange how fast the whole situation has escalated! Am starting to lose my brain cells."She said while making her comfortable."Who isn't?" Kyla said as she drove, occasionally tapping her fingers on the steering wheel as tension was rising inside of her. After what seemed to be like an hour's drive the car pulled outside an old house which was almost falling apart.

They were on the outskirts of the city with dense forest around them."Here we are."Kyla said pointing towards the house. She continued ,"I have some important things to sort out, you guys go." Kesley nodded while waking Rose up. They both stepped outside the car allowing the cold and errie breeze to blow the tiny strands of their hair. After giving both of them a reassuring look,Kyla went away.
"Wait,who told her the address?"Rose said as the confusion on her face was slowly taking the form of fear. "I didn't,I didn't even know it at the first place."As both of them let silence swallow them for a few minutes ,pondering for possible answers,they eventually gave up."We will worry about that later",Rose said while pulling Kesley into the house.
"Woah,can someone even live here",Kesley said as she shoved a piece of broken window frame with her feet. Sure enough,the house didn't seem to accommodate any one except for rats.There were spider webs all around which removed any doubt of human accommodation."But its exactly the place my father asked me to come this morning."
"Yeah,I did.",hearing a deep raspy voice of a man,both of them looked at the entrance of the house."Oh,dad!"Rose said as she ran towards her father and hugged him. "What's happening all of a sudden?Why did you call me here rather than to your lab?"
Ignoring Rose he looked at Kesley.His expression was blank and eyes seemed to carry a lot of secrets. They were just like a black hole which had absorbed a lot of things with an intention to never reveal it to anyone. Ever."Oh you brought Kesley too,I should have known."He said shifting his gaze back to Rose."Well,its just that I intended to keep you away until that zombie turmoil ends."
"What?Keep me here?At this place?"Rose questioned with deniance."Oh no no, of course not here.It was just a place for us to meet.Come with me,we are going to our safe place."he said."What about Kess?She is coming with us right?"Rose asked."I am sorry to say but she cannot.The place we are going to dosen't allow us to have any network connection.I am sure the news might have reached her father by now,he must be making arrangements to get her back."Their conversation was interrupted by the ringing of Kesley's phone."Its dad",she said and moved away from them to pick up the call.
"Kesley,are you okay?We were so scared for you."Mr Jane said unable to hide the panic in his voice."Yes dad,I am safe."Kesley said."Oh that's great.I asked one of my friend's daughter to pick you up.You both will be taking today's flight back to Seoul and no questions. Be safe."He hung up before Kesley could object.
Kesley turned and was shocked that Rose and her father were gone.Before she could figure out how fast they went away,she heard a car's honk.
"Guess what,only if your father had told me your name at first,I wouldn't have to leave in the first place.Come on get in!"
It was Kyla.
