"Order for Maddie!" Dylan shouted out as the shop was packed.

She could her the clacking of peoples keyboards and laptops and the rustling of papers of sorts.

Order after order came in and She rushed around to get every one done within five minutes. Her hair was poking out of a tiny bun and she couldn't be too bothered to have put on makeup that morning.

Yet, the 6th person in line admired her messy hair and beautiful voice. He couldn't help but smile at her lovely grin and the way she was so kind to the customers who didn't even bother a thank you.

It was around 12 and Dylan had been stressed all day as people packed into the store since 10.

She continued to push through and smile at every customer and give them napkins and since today was Wednesday she offered a free cake pop.

As the boy neared the front of the line, he noticed her smile lines and her strange shaped earrings. They weren't quite circular or oval. They seemed unique.

"Hi! What can I get for you today sir?"

Dylan's words hit the boy like the crisp air from outside.

"Um yes....um, a small cold brew coffee with vanilla flavor."

Dylan's ears rang with his voice as she recognized it but decided against saying anything.

"Alright, that'll be $3.25."

She took the change and asked for his name.

"George." He mumbled hoping she would say something about his number.

She began blushing and turned to make his order. She knew she should say something but decided to ask him about it soon.

George turned away and walked towards a seat slowly. Sighing, he thought she may have thrown away the napkin or not wanted to keep it. As a few minutes passed he finally heard his name.

"Order for George!"

His name coming from her mouth sounded so sweet and simple. It hit him like a subway and he yearned for her to say it again.

As he neared the counter he noticed the line was non-existent and most of the cafe had emptied out.

"Could you maybe sit for a moment? My co-worker will get here in just a minute." She nervously asked the boy. All he could do was smile and nod before going to sit.

As Dean came in to start work Dylan had ran to the back and taken off her apron and walked back out the front. She craned her neck for the brunette boy. She saw him sitting near the front window staring at his phone. She took a deep breath and walked towards him.

He saw her approaching and quickly stumbled to pull a chair out for her but, he nearly took the whole table down with him, causing her to giggle.

He swiftly got up and fixed the table and chair for her.

"So you're the mysterious napkin George?" She inquired as she sat. "I remember you and your friends coming in and wanted to know which boy I was potentially going to message." She chuckled.

"I would hope that you wouldn't want to message any of us except me." His splurge of courage causing the girl to laugh and scrunch her nose.

She let the boy know she only planned on messaging somebody once she's met them and got to know them.

So they sat and talked for hours. Their nervousness slowly disappearing as they realized their common interests. Until soon Dylan realized she had to get home if she planned on getting some sleep tonight.

"Well, Mr. George. I shall hope to see you around and thank you for making my day a million times better."

Her smile made George's breath hitch and he helped her gather her things.

"Be safe on your way home! Um, I'll text you later! If- if that's alright?"

She only shook her head and smiled before walking home with a small blush across her cheeks.

Stepping into her apartment her roommate was waiting for her with dinner.

"Hey Dyl. Whatcha been up to?" Finn asked twirling his fork through spaghetti.

She blushed slightly and sat to eat.

"Just work and chatting with a new friend."

Her blush gave her away as he cocked an eyebrow and said, "friend?", while laughing.

She only blushed harder and tried to hide her face. She was never very good at hiding her feelings from Finn as he was her best friend.

As they finished dinner Dylan received a text.

(xxx)-xxx-xxx
-I hope you got home safe Ms.Dylan. sleep well!

She smiled before changing the contacts name and texting back a simple sleep well.

Crawling into bed she drifted off into sleep quickly underneath her fuzzy comforter.
