"I'm sorry...." Dylan whispered once more burying her face into his chest.
George held her head to his chest softly.
"Shhh shh baby. Tell me what's wrong...take your time."
Dylan huffed out a sigh.
"I- I don't know." She trailed off. Her breath hitching slightly. "I don't know what I did wrong..."
George stared at her confused for a few seconds.
His face showed what he meant to say but instead his words stumbled.
"What i uh what do you mean?" George mumbled.
"You hate me."
Her words caught George off guard. He chocked on his own words. Did she really just say that he hated her...
"What??" George let out an exasperated sigh afterwords. "Baby what??"
"You hate me! And and I you you yelled..." she choked out before burying her head into her own hands.
George pulled her frail body back towards his chest. Her back laid against his chest as he could feel her heavy breathing.
"How could I ever hate you...?" He questioned softly.
George had yet to realize that he had a jealous fit of rage. He didn't understand what had made the girl so upset. He couldn't have possibly done anything wrong....right?
"I was just stressed. I didn't mean to yell if I did." George put his arms under Dylan's knees and carried her over towards the bed.
Her legs were covered in carpet marks from sitting on her knees too long. Her elbows had what seemed to be carpet burn or some type of rash.
George sighed to himself. He knew he screwed up. But he wasn't sure if he could admit it.
His temper had gotten the best of him. His jealousy was blinding to his true feelings. He was merely upset and felt rejected by Dylan's actions.
Dylan's breath seemed to even out and her head was tilted low, staring at the floor. Her short hair fell slightly over her eyes.
George tucked her hair behind her ear. He leaned in and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Her whole body eased.
"What did I do wrong..." she whispered.
George took a deep breath before speaking. "You didn't do anything wrong. It was all my fault. I was jealous. And I took it out on you.."
Dylan glanced up into George's brown eyes to see if he was telling the truth. Her face softened as she noticed he was being serious.
"You were jealous? Of that guy?" She spoke softer.
George could only nod. He felt too ashamed to speak.
Dylan giggled. She giggled uncontrollably with her tear stained cheeks and puffy eyes.
"Babe...." she looked into his eyes once more. "He's got nothing on you."
George pulled Dylan into his chest. His gesture causing her to turn towards him and sit in his lap. He laid back allowing her to lay her head on his chest comfortably.
George pulled the blanket over them up to Dylan's chest. He allowed her to adjust the blanket to be over her ears. Ever since she was younger she slept with a blanket pulled up to her ears. George adored that about her.
As they began to settle on George ran his fingers through her hair.
"Oh babe... one more thing..." Dylan whispered on the verge of sleep.
He hummed contently wondering what it could be.
"He was gay."
George gasped in shock. He didn't even think about the possibility in that moment. All he could think was that his girl was being hypnotized by a god.
He went to speak but noticed Dylan's eyes were shut and her breathing was light.
"You're mine..." he whispered cuddling closer to her before falling asleep.
