Chapter 2(First day of training and giving them there official ranks)

(Billy's POV)

It's currently out doing the obstacle course for the 9th time this morning to prepare myself for the day. I climb up the last rope before sliding down the shed roof and rolling as I hit the ground. I make my way to the logs and start climbing over and sliding underneath them as I look at my watch

Me: I may break my record again sweet

I make my way to the last part of the course that everyone dread. I run and dive under the barb wire and start crawling to the end. I make it to the end of the trench, stand up and climb over the wall completing the course in record time once again. I collapse to the ground to catch my breath quickly before flipping up to my feet only to drop back to the ground and start doing pushups as I hear a quiet voice say

Voice: Wow that was incredible

Me: Thank you soldier

Voice: I'm new here. I only arrived about an hour ago. General Shaw sent me to you

I stand up and stretch as I look at her and say

Me: What's your name soldier

Girl: Sorry sir I'm private Samantha Cook

She salutes me as I salute back and say

Why does that name sound so familiar to me...

I look at her and say

Me: Private Cook well it's an honor to meet you I'm

Samantha: Your Captain Bunce

Me: So you have hurd of me

Samantha: I hurd about your last mission

Me: How old where you when you hurd about that?

Samantha: I was 10 my dad told me about a Captain that lost his squad and still finished his job

Me: Who's your dad?

Samantha: He was Staff Sergeant Paul Cook

That's why here name sounds so familiar...

Me: I remember him he congratulated me after I finished the mission. How is he?

Samantha: His good he left after you left

Me: Really why?

Samantha: He wanted to be with his family

Me: I get that I really do. Well go unpack and be back out here at 0500 hours that's when training starts but it's not going to be easy

Samantha: I know what your training is dad still does some of it

Me: Well then it's settled meet back here no later then 0500 hours

Samantha: Sir yes sir

She walks off after picking up her bags and heads to the female quarters as Brody walks up to me and says

Brody: I see you met your new private

Me: Why did you give me her

Brody: Her dad insisted it

Me: You told him I had a mission

Brody: Yeah he wanted his daughter to be under the supervision of someone that can hold their own

Me: But why me

Brody: He knows what you did in that mission and he knows that if something different happened that day you would of still continued as a marine

Me: Well that's good to know. But tell me one thing what did Shepherd do to you to make you come get me

Brody: You figured it out didn't you?
