Time To Go

He walked into the room Rae was in. Cartyr had began looking around before seeing a small shine from the butterfly knife. He lightly bent down and peered in. "Rae... you okay? You can come out now." Rae jerked, nearly slamming their head into the wall. They were trembling, their hands shaking as they stared up at Cartyr.
'He's lying. Stay here. Here is safe.' Another voice cracked, 'You heard Doc! He called you a coward! Are you just gonna stay here and hide the entire time? You'd be found anyway' Rae whimpered, whispering something in a language Cartyr couldn't understand to herself as they backed further against the wall. Or at least as much as possible.
"Rae... he's asleep... Look at me... You're are safe to come out. We'll be leaving soon so ready yourself and be prepared to head back to the cabin." Cartyr stood up and walked to the bathroom, immediately locking the door.  Rae took a moment, shakily standing up. They hesitantly peaked out, noticing Eri on the floor. Silently, they stared at him to assure themselves he really was asleep.
After a bit, they stepped out. A sudden urge to run tugged at them, glancing over at the window. Shaking their head, they simply went back to the bed and sat down. It was close to a window and they had a good view of where Eri would come from. Just in case.
Some noise would be made in the bathroom. Almost seemingly like Cartyr was being..? Attacked? Or he was just breaking almost everything in his path and destroying anything in his current direction. It was either one or the two, nevertheless, it was loud, it was scary, and it sounded dangerous.
Rae tucked their knees to their chest, anxiously gripped the knife in their hand. Their gaze flicked between the hall and where the bathroom was. 'You should run. Its not safe here. Not safe not safe not safe-' Rae shooke their head, holding it as they muttered under their breath. 'You can't leave. Running away will just prove you're a coward.' Rae covered their ears, trying to block out the voices.
Cartyr walked out Of the bathroom, his clothes torn and ripped, the bathroom looking like various grenades just explodes and destroyed everything. Cartyr had walked out. Stretching arm before noticing Rae. "I... apologize for that... You... shouldn't have heard. Let's sit and take a breather. Are you hungry?" They looked off to the side, fiddling with the knife as they mumbled, "No. I'm not that hungry right now." 'You'd probably throw it up anyway. Can't control your own nerves.' Looking back at Cartyr, they asked, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah! Um, totally? Totally fine. Completely alright! I swear!"
He was obviously lying. No amount of bullshit that he could throw would make that lie any kind of believable in any way. But... it was probably best that they would not pressure him. Pressuring Cartyr about his feelings never ends well. Especially for therapists... Cartyr attempted to go to various therapists, they pressured him to talk about his emotions. And as anyone knows, those same therapists are... 'missing' now.
Dropping the topic, Rae looked back over at Eri down the hall. They seemed to have entirely swapped demeanors, their usual dead expression back as they did tricks with the knife. 'He's lying. Why is he lying? Aren't you suspicious? Stop trying to play it cool and ask him.' Rae ignored the suggestion and asked without looking at Cartyr, "Do you want me to sew your clothes when we get back? Or are you going to throw them out. I could always sew them..."
Cartyr had just seemingly ignored the question, as he had already been promptly sat back on the seat at the window. Only once more keeping watch for the two individuals behind him. Keeping his katana sheathed. But... at the ready for anything.
Eri would move just a bit, raising a finger, a small movement, honestly. Leg having stopped bleeding a little bit ago. He would slowly, and weakly begin to stand. Still having no mask on his face, he'd groan softly, putting a hand to his head. He slowly sat onto his knees, his eyes opening slowly, he'd blink a few times. Still drowsy, he'd turn his head a bit, looking around.
Recognizing it as his apartment, though it took him quite the moment to do such. "... Ugh..." He'd say as he stood, legs wobbly as he then paused, looking at Cartyr down the smaller hallway to the restroom and entrance. "...Ca..Cartyr?" He'd say for a moment, not remembering anything that happened in the last 15-20 minutes. "Why-" He paused, looking Rae dead in the eyes, the light hitting his face just right through the window and apartment to show every little knick on his face, bloodied pant leg down his left leg, he would slowly look down before touching his face for a moment.
He looked to the side, spotting his mask and hat both on the floor. His knife laying by the wall, with blood on it. And he seemed to sense the tension in the air, gazing at the two. His eyes were wide, like a deer in headlights. "I... I-" He stopped, shaking a bit, realizing that they were both just staring him down at this point.
'Monster... losing control like that.' 'Look at how they look at you.' 'Look at how Rae is looking at you. LOOK AT THEM.' Eri slowly turned his gaze to them, his blind eye dull, even his normal eye seemed to be dull to some degree. "D.. did I... hurt you..?"
Cartyr simply turned away from the direction of Eri, now mainly keeping his head out the window at the question, "No, Eri... you didn't hurt anyone. I merely and only just tranquilized you. As such you requested I do if you had snapped in this moment. And which, in the end, you did. At first, I had created an attempt to just talk you at of snapping. Which, you let the voices take control. Even after you snapped, I still tried and in the last moment, I had to use my enhanced speed to confuse you in order to give you the fluid in order for you to lose consciousness. But, from it looks like, you're okay now."
Rae had quickly looked away the moment they had noticed Dr. Eri had awoken and began looking at them. They simply shook their head in response to their question. Having been hidden, they didn't see what had happened so they just let Cartyr explain.
Eri paused, listening to Cartyr, he hesitated to say anything else. Moving his hand down to feel his left leg, bringing his hand up to look at the old-ish blood. He then looked towards the side room for a moment, "...Did.." He didn't finish the sentence, glancing at the door before looking down at the ground. He then slowly limped towards his mask, bending down to grab it, nearly collapsing while doing such. Putting his mask back on. "...I...I'm so... so sorry..." He said in a soft spoken voice.
Not meeting the doctor's gaze, Rae murmured, "You should treat your leg before we leave..." Cartyr then chimed into the conversation to add. "Indeed, we would look more suspicious if we do not treat your leg. Probability of consequence without treating your injury, Doctor? 89%. That's a bad number. However this is your call, treating your wound would not take long, and would drop our probability into the low 30s of percentages." Cartyr did this with a quick calculation. It rarely used his high intelligence. Seeing it with quick speeds is most certainly surprising to say the least...
He'd pause, and then gently spoke to them, "I'll.. be alright.. You both should head back to the house.. I ...still have some work to do here." He said in a soft voice, he reached for his hat before putting it on. He then sat on the edge of the bed, pulling his pant leg up to his thigh, looking at the cut he put into his leg, "Did you.. stab me, Cartyr?" He asked for a moment, bending down to grab a medical kit from under the bed.
"No, I did not. Nor will I ever unless it's necessary. In this simple situation, it wasn't necessarily for me to stab you and so I hadn't in the first place. I merely injected the Serum into your neck and let the affects take their toll. You've been out for almost... an hour and a half. As well, I apologize for the bathroom... I'll pay for it..." Cartyr stood up, simply unlocking the door and signaling Rae to follow.
Rae's gaze lingered on a door, seemingly not even noticing the signal at first. They broke from their trance, looking over in confusion. Realizing what wss happening, they quietly got up and followed Cartyr. Eri paused, "I'll.. be back to the house shortly." He said, disinfecting his wound before putting guaze and wrapping it. He would then put his pant leg back down, and gazed over at them, watching them leave.
His eyes watering a bit. He'd wave at them softly before they shut the door. He got up, not wobbling or anything, his eyes focused on the side room door. He paused, reaching for the doorknob. He stopped and sighed, and then turned away from it and went to his dresser, grabbing a spare change of pants. He then changed into them before putting the bloody clothes in the hamper to be washed later.
He picked his knife up off the ground, and gently wiped it clean before closing it and putting it in his pocket. He then finally goes to the side room door, and opens it pretty roughly, the door ground against the ground near the end, leaving a trail slightly.
The scent that hit him was metallic, but he paid it no mind as he turned the light on to the side room. It was gruesome, to say the least. Large saws hanging on the walls, pistols and rifles from different eras. Weapons from when he was younger, even. Literal ammo boxes stacked in the corner. A table in the middle that was stained red, and a large tub freezer off against one of the far walls. 'Too bad they didn't look, huh?'. 'You're lucky they didn't look, Eri.'
Eri hummed ever so softly as he grabbed a smaller handgun and put it in it's holster before putting that on his belt, and then put his plague cloak on, hiding the fact he had anything on him at all. He then hummed, grabbing a good amount of cash and stuffing it into his pocket. He then left that side room, and spammed it shut behind him. He then began towards his door.
Eri opened the front door, stepping outside, before turning and locking it. He then began down the small flight of stairs to get to his apartment. He calmly began down a bunch of back alleys, into the black market. A lot of people weren't wearing masks, which angered him quite a bit but be remained silent. Rae quietly walked with Cartyr, wearing earbuds now and playing music to drown out the sound of the town around them. They stared at their feet as they walked, seemingly going out of their way to not step on the cracks in the sidewalk.

Cartyr was in his room. Not sleeping, not drinking, but rather just at his dresser. Staring intently at himself in the reflection of his sword. Staying silent, pent up anger corrupting his mind every minute, sadness clouding his judgement every few seconds.
Cartyr only felt... pain... He was being ignorant to anything in the house. Keeping to himself, ignoring anything that was even close to his room, and those far away from his location. Sulking in his own secrets of his mind, he stared into the blade as his suffering and self agony increased by the MERE seconds.
In that moment, something called out to him. "C̴͒͑ä̴́̓r̴͂̕t̷́̿ỳ̸̾r̶͆͘.̵͗͌.̴̏̂.̶̽̍ ̶̑͑"
Cartyr stood up immediatelythrowing his katana straight into the wall as it goes through and gets stuck. "WHERE ARE YOU THIS TIME!"*<Cartyr walks over, pulling at his sword from the wall as it calls to him once more. This time louder.>* "C̴͒͑ä̴́̓r̴͂̕t̷́̿ỳ̸̾r̶͆͘.̵͗͌.̴̏̂.̶̽̍ ̶̑͑C̷̿̅A̸̎̋R̶̈͆T̴̓̚Ŷ̶͊R̷͋̉!̸̽̌" "SHOW YOURSELF BEFORE I KICK YOUR ASS! Wait.. no.. BEFORE I KICK MY ASS! YOU'RE A VOICE, YOU AREN'T REAL!"
"A̵w̶,̶ ̶c̶o̵m̵e̴ ̵o̶n̸.̸.̵.̴ ̸Y̶o̶u̵ ̸t̷ ̴g̴o̴i̵n̴g̴ ̸t̶o̶ ̵h̵u̷r̷t̶ ̴y̷o̶u̵r̷s̴e̶l̷f̷.̶...." "You fucker! I WILL REENACT JIN CARREY'S ENTIRE SEEN FROM LIAR LIAR! I SWEAR TO GOD, I WILL MOST ACCURATELY USE THE KATANA AND STAB MY FOOT! DON'T TEST ME BITCH-!"
All while Cartyr has a mild mental attack and along with a break down... Something... concerning is happening with Eri as he attempts to shop at the black market. Eri had been walking for a bit, looking for the best place to buy the herbs from. He finally settled on one place in particular, and calmly stepped up to what seemed to be a stall of sorts. Ordering a couple different things, paying for them, and promptly stuffing them into a pouch. He then nodded, and began to walk up and down, looking for anything of interest. He saw a short machete for sell, and opted into buying it. He then strapped it to his belt afterwards, and began back up the alleyway,  he had the feeling of being watched, but paid it no mind.
Eri began to go towards the exit, but someone grabbed his shirt, and shoved him hard. He fell, hitting his on the wall of a building when he did. He groaned softly, going to stand before getting kicked hard in the stomach. They hit his arm pretty damn hard with a bat when he held it up to defend himself. He grabbed the machete he just bought and slashed at their legs.
Barely nicking them before getting kicked in the head. Knocking his mask partially off. He sputtered a bit, and they grabbed his gun holster, taking the gun out, just as he stabbed them through the jaw and up through the roof of their mouth, the gun went off, the silencer on the end making it quiet. Shooting Eri in the side. He groaned, and stood up slowly, grabbing his gun out of the man's hand.
He then grabbed the man's baseball bat and hit the man's head a couple of times for good measure before dropping the bat. Stumbling a bit, blood dripping from his side. He holstered his hand gun and put the machete back, and began to stumble down alleyways, disoriented, and yet, somehow making it to the main trail to get to his house. He couldn't remember really any of it. 'Eri... stop.. you're going to bleed out..'
He stumbled down the trail, falling twice before getting to the main gate. Blood having ruined this shirt of his and his pants. A mild blood trail following him.
"...f..fuck.." He'd groan as he stumbled all the way home and through the front gate. Eri just slumped to the ground at this point, grasping his side. He groaned and rolled onto his back, huffing a bit. Having lost his hat and plague cloak somewhere along the way. He still had the gun and the short machete and the pouch of herbs. He just felt numb at this point. Grem looked up and noticed the stumbling figure of Dr. Eri slump onto the ground. He quickly hobbled over and checked on him, noticing he was shot.
Frantically, Grem picked him up and carried him inside. He was surprisingly strong for such a frail looking Gremlin. He set him on the kitchen table before scurrying off to find Cartyr. Germ hobbled with great speed to Cartyr's room, jumping up and down while knocking. He croaked in broken English, "Doc... Hurry, hurt. Hurrrrrt." His speech sounded curdled and wet, his voice hoarse from hardly ever being used.
Cartyr dramatically opened the door, more of his clothes had been ripped up with claw marks covering his body as his room was not even messy at this point. It was quite possibly almost entirely wrecked and destroyed.
"WHAT!" Grem was met with a katana to his neck.
Grem held his hands up, making a startled screeching sound. He then responded,* "K-kix... Kitch. Kitch kitch." He pointed in the general direction of the kitchen. "FOR WHAT, YOU FLOOR SLEEPING, MAIL EATING, BRAT!"
As his voice increased, so did his height. He began the height of 6'5 and stepped out of the door way to him. Grem flinched, trembling as he stammered, "D-doc... Fond him. Moved to k-kitch."
Just then, Cartyr immediately zipped away as multiple papers were met to Grem's face. He had ran to the kitchen quicker than ever, even without his katana that he dropped on the ground in front of Grem.
